Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

John, I don't remember at what time exactly that he emailed me, but from what I recall, including the two hour time difference between Florida and Colorado, it was EARLY. I'd guesstimate hardly enough time for me to get to the bank and have funds post.
 
thanks Bruce for your 2 cents. Sorry about that. Just to point the major difference here though, we're talking about one day, 24 hours, not one week. It's a little different, but I do see the point you've made.

John, like I stated earlier.....I deleted the first two or so emails in anger thinking the issue was done and I just got screwed over was all. I wish I had kept them now to prove my point here. I can't argue that 'all you know is that I said he said.' I feel like this is some kind of trial for you! :D I thank you for playing Devils Advocate. You would make a good lawyer. I only started this thread to confirm for myself that my business practices are ethical, and to let other ethical people, and those of their word know what happened to me in this 'deal'. There are many respectful and honerable breeders around and they're the ones that deserve a buyers hard earned money, in my humble opinion. That is all.

Same thing, but worse happened to me

I emailed a big breeder about some boas, no ad, just out of the blue emailed them to see if they had any. They said yes, and sent me a couple of pics. We decided on a trio price. I did some research and found that I wanted a certain color phase, and emailed them back. They said they had just what I wanted, but their camera was in the shop, please be patient and wait for pics. I waited a few days, and emailed them back that I was waiting patiently, just to let them know I was still interested. I got an email on Saturday, that they sent on Friday at some time. I looked at the pics, and emailed back immedietly that I wanted them. They emailed back that I waited to long, they never heard back from me, and that they emailed me "last week" and I never got back to them, sorry, they were sold. Well, by last week, they meant "yesterday." If I got the email on a Friday, opened it Sat morning, come on....

Anyways, I was not happy, emailed them back.....long story short, they said they would take care of me.....new babies were born like 7 months later, and they were going to take care of me by offering them, the neonates for the SAME price that I had agreed to for older animals, ,,,,,,never got the boas.

Since the only information we have is what Brandon has posted so far, and since the seller has chosen not to post his side of the story, it really serves no purpose casting doubt on Brandon's statements. The only way for this thread to yield any further insights into this scenario is for the seller to come forward and post

It's not the seller has chosen not to post his side. I, of course, want to hear Raymond tell his side. However, Brandon did not notify Raymond that he posted Raymond as a bad guy here. So far, there is one inconsistence in Brandon's story. He first said that Raymond sold the snake the night before "tomorrow." However, when email exchanged was posted, it showed that Raymond sold the snake on "tomorrow" morning, after checking his Paypal account, and did not see the payment from Brandon.

I tried to be a good person by offering you another great Boa from the same
litter.....with pastel colors and all prior
to everyone else who views the Kingsnake classifieds. If you can't accept
this as a gesture of at least an attempt
at ethics, so be it.

This was cut and pasted from my sent items menu in my Email program and if can read it a bit more thoroughly than Brandon, you will see it says PRIOR TO your message, meaning I had got the offer before and it was more "ethically binding" by Brandons own standards!
C'mon man! I think of all the deals I lost out on when I sat on my hands too long.....my mommy taught me when I want something I need to go after it and apply my every effort to dilute the efforts of others clawing for the same desire. If it was this important to him, he should've done like I told him to do in our very first communication and sent me money. I always figured first come first serve and money talks bullsh** walks were common knowledge in the business industry. I made no agreements with Brandon...there was no handshake, there were no expressed commitments. Brandon is just bitter, and IMHO spoiled.
The kicker is that I still had/have many other snakes from the same litter, with the same coloration and markings as the animal in question and I'm sure with someone a bit more mature, we could have worked something out. I'd rather not have business from someone like Brandon anyways....he's the kind of person it seems that would find a problem regardless of the circumstances.

I'm not trying to give you a hard time here, I'm genuinely confused here. If the snake was already sold, then why did you tell brian it was sold to him?

I'd just like to be clear on this. They are really great looking snakes, at least the one that was posted was, so I can easily believe the rest were great too.

could you post whatever emails you have between you two please. I'd like to have all the facts. If you never told him it was sold, or his, or anything like that, then I was wrong about the deal. If you did, then I was right. I'd like to see what you have, if you don't mind.

It's sad that you couldn't wait a few hours. I was up until 3am working as
I normally am. I usually wake up @ 10:30am, and when I need to go to the
bank, I do it by noon so it posts on that day. As far as you TRYING to be a
good person by offering me a less attractive snake after you pulled that one
out from under me.... I'm speechless due to my refraining from severe
profanity. I'm sure that you've had a few hundred people say they'll send
the money and don't, but the least you could have done is given me until the
end of the business day. I did say tomorrow, I didn't give you a time.
It's still 'tomorrow', after the fact. I feel that what you've done is
extremely unethical. You don't know me or the fact that I keep my word. I
gave my word when I said SOLD. I don't [bleep] around with my Boas. You need
to treat everybody with trust and respect until they prove that they don't
deserve it, i.e.. not sending money when they said they would. The fact
that somebody offered you more money and it was local should have been
irrelevant until I proved myself a chump, which would not have happened. I
personally have a 24 hour faith policy for paypal agreements. Maybe I'm
just different. Your apology means nothing to me. You're not sorry, you're
greedy and that's sad. You broke an agreement with me.

It is beginning to look as though you may be right, however, do you have the first emails that you two had with eachother? The ones where you discussed this snake and you confirmed that you would sell it to him. He mentioned that there were a couple of emails that he deleted, one in which you said "sold" to him.

Just trying to be perfectly clear here. Did you guys talk on the phone? How did communication between you start? How did you know he wanted to buy your snake, phone call, email, pm, or what?

And just to polish the sought after clarity, you are saying that you in no way, ever, at all, told him this snake was his, or sold, or was waiting for him, or anything like that?

I'm not trying to bust your chops, it's just that this one has me sort of confused.

That's right Wes...no phone conversations, no implications, no handshake, no promises. I take much pride in being a man of my word...when you strip all else away, what else do you have really?
Unless you can find somewhere within the transmissions I posted (which somehow Brandon did!) somewhere where I said "sold to you, Brandon".....it never happened. I am leaving nothing out here.

oh and the first email from Brandon was provoked by a Kingsnake.com classified advertisement.

It showned on the email exchanged that Brandon said SOLD, not Raymond. Raymond just requested him to send the money.
Brandon made an assumption that the snake is sold to him, then when he couldn't get it, changed the story, and said that Raymond told him the snake is sold, and posted bad about Raymond. I am wondering, where is Brandon now when he needs to defend himself???;)
