• Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Raymond Melrose in FL ripped me off!!!

I agreed to purchase an adult female albino burmese from Raymond Melrose back in the middle of June. After multiple email attempts following PayPal payment for $375.00 failed I began to grow suspicious. And just then he would squeak in an email to reassure me all was well but just taking longer than normal to arrange shipping through Delta as I had requested. Here is a copy of some of our more recent conversations:

Here is a message I wrote to you on the 18th (9 days ago!). Let's get this resolved as soon as possible.

"
Raymond,
No offense, but this shipment is taking way too long to get going and I must request a refund on this purchase. Sorry this could not work out. Please paypal funds of $375 back to [email protected] as soon as possible. Thank you.

hey Rodney,
Sorry for not writing you sooner....had some problems here lately....been very busy trying to fix things. Anyways I am back on track at this point....my apologies to you for the delay.
I had wrote my friend with the Delta account Friday I believe, and did not recieve anything back yet...I think he may have skipped out for the holiday weekend. I expect to hear from him at some point today....and I will write him again today to be sure he gets the message. You should get an email from me later this evening with the scoop.
Thanks for your patience and I will talk again with you very soon.

Raymond,
Have not heard from you in a week. What is the status of the burm and shipping?

Raymond,
I am not sure if you are getting my emails as I did not receive a response from my last message or to my payment afterwards. Please assist so we can coordinate shipping of this female. Thank you.

Any assistance in pursiung this would be greatly appreciated. All my email attempts now come back as "undeliverable".
I even sent a PM from here and according to his profile and the PM tracking he has not been on since June 17th. Paypal does not seem interested in helping me. Any thoughts???

I dont know if this will make you feel any better but. I bought a adult albino boa female from Ray melrose last year I used paypal
to wire him $2900 dollars.I received my snake threw delta and i know he is not a verified shipper .Because he had to have her shipped threw someone else in florida.I will look on my paper work to see if i still have his phone #

I met Ray down here once when I received a call about a Red tail boa on the loose. I dont keep boas so I put him up for sale and for anyone to make me an offer. Ray decided to buy him and he seemed like an honest an up front guy. I hope everything clears up for you.
