In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ray's Reptilia and North Port Reptiles... one and the same?

They have current ads up here on Fauna.

Here is another complaint.

BARCREPTILES, Christine Fletcher Sold me a sick ball python and refused to make good on it when I contacted them Port Charlotte Florida Port Charlotte Florida

I purchased a baby ball python from Barc Reptiles. From the begining Kruiser would give me a hard time eating she just kept getting smaller. I took Kruiser to be checked and was told that she had a respiratory infection and was given a 20 percent chance to live. I followed all the instructions given to me and not even a week later Kruiser died.
First of all I was sold a Male and that is what I wanted so I thought. When I had Kruiser sexed it proved he was a she. I paid 70.00 all together for the snake and when she was shipped she was to arrive on a monday and fed ex truck broke down so she didnt arrive till tuesday. She was not moving so I put her under a basking lamp and she started moving. I notified them about the delayed shipment and they didnt seem concerned. I was told it was possible that is what caused the infection.
I notified Barc Reptiles that Kruiser had died, and they told me they would ship me another snake for 40.00. I dont feel that I should pay anything for another snake when I was sold a sick female not a healthy male.
I wrote the following to them:
According to consumer protection I am not obligated to provide you with shipping cost to replace Kruiser as I already paid you for a healthy snake as stated on your website. Please let me know if you have no intentions of shipping a healthy male ball python.
thank you
their reply:
Certainly not .I was gonna send you a courtesy replacement .
I was gonna send you a free one ,you pay shipping of 45.00
But this email just gets under my skin .
I am not obligated to send you a replacement at all.

so as it stands I dont get a replacement
I just want consumers to beware that I purchased what I thought was a healthy male ball python and what I got was a sick female ball python.

The address being used is a Port Charlotte UPS Store.

thankyou for your investigating this on ripoffreports.com
its a tragedy to know that such people can still sleep at night knowing their rep is going down the tubes....
from what the distance calculater says on his ads im only 4 miles away from them.

we have been running a highly successful bird breeding buisness for some time and we gaurentee all our birds for 1 year. no questions asked. thats why i dont understand when you have your rep on the line and you have to look at your upset customers at the shows not knowing what kind of people they may be when they loose a good sum of money....its almost like stealing.

whats really worse is when you have a angry house wife that makes way to many phone calls and knows the internet and government offices like the back of her hand because of the buisness we have been in...trust me dont make momma mad i know from experience...

because of good people out there that work together in the herp community, like everyone that has posted on this thread, we love being hobbiests so much. i was told by a great well-known breeder that once we get into this trade we will realise that its like a big family that doesnt like a bad name.

HTML code snippet from B.A.R.C. Reptiles home page. I only copied the pertinent part, the entire code is much too long for one post. Note the text I've highlighted in bold. I seem to recall early in this thread there was speculation that Ray or someone associated with him/for him was operating under that name. This same HTML code can be found on BARC's "About Us" page, whch I've also saved. Look quick, though! I'll bet it disappears quickly now!

I would say it is confirmed. On their website they have forums. In the BARC Rep forum, there are only 3 posts up and each one signed differently, but one of them was signed "Ray".

boy, you people are on the ball. i like this site. so many devoted people that care about quality in life of the animals we love. it sucks to stay up most the night worried that a snake that you bonded with might just pass on you.

just so you know he is selling on this site as memeber name barcreptiles.

here is a link to his profile.

Bummer, Ray does not have his "Hall of Shame" up on the new website. He needs to get to work...

I am sure importers do not care that much about Ray as long as they get their money first.
