    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I agree, things happen from time to time that are sometimes out of our control and sometimes not. It is what we do to remedy those situations that make good business. Not turning your back on your customers. Ray could still turn things around, but will he?.... doubtful.
 
I agree 100%, but this is something Ray seems to have a hard time doing. I am also glad to see that Kati has contacted the BBB. Maybe if they get enough complaints on Ray, they will put an end to his tricks.
 
It just infuriates you to think that a chronic repeat "offender" that rips people off time and time again does not get taken down. Nothing against rich or this site at all...I think this BOI is such a valuable asset to our community, however it can only go so far... Maybe if we could organize a consortium with a lot of us guys that advertise on kingsnake, go to jeffb with a well prepared letter stating our concerns with people that are known rip off artists, maybe something can be done. I don't know if it will work, maybe it is a pipe dream...who knows.

Well, I had a message from my fedex rep on my voicemail a few days ago. He was very interested in finding out why Ray ships via fedex, without being verified, and he was very interested that Ray ships animals that are arriving dead.
According to the message...(waiting for him to call me back to confirm) he was gonna forward some of the info on to the appropriate people. They (Fedex) have seen this thread as well.

I just received a bulk email from "raysreptilia". The pictures did not come out. I have no idea why they would be sending me something.

I am in negotiations with a guy named "John" to purchase a ball python. Has anyone gone through a guy named John who works for "raysreptilia"? I do not want the mistake of buying from these people. I have no reason to believe he is related, but I find it funny to get an email from this company within 24 hours of asking "John" for more pics of his animal.

Kinda missunderstanding whats goin on here. Are you asking us if there is someone that works for ray by the name of john because you are gonna buy from them? or are you just talking to some random john guy now you have an email from rays reptilia?

Let me describe the scenario better.

I responded to an ad from a man named, "John" for a ball python. We have been relaying emails back and forth the last few days. Well, this morning I requested more pics of the animal for sale. I have yet to receive pics from his, John's, email address, however, I received pics from the email address "raysreptilia". This is odd because the only advertising, herp related, I EVER receive is from Rodentpro.com. I find it funny that I would happen to receive a group of pics from a business I have never dealt before. I would know for sure, but I could not view the pics from Raysreptilia to confirm it was the animal in question.

I would like to see this ad as well. :) If Ray is using someone else to sell for him, then IMO, it would need to be posted on this thread. :eatpointe
 
Not only that, but if someone is putting ads on kingsnake that doesn't represent himself as "rays reptilia" it is against their TOS. Maybe they would finally pay attention to that.

After all that Ray has pulled and KS has looked the other way, do you really think that him posting under another name will make a difference?

We can hope, I guess......but I ain't holding my breath.

Thats a good point Cathy! As I have said before, Ray has a great way of slipping through the cracks. :scatter: Only to show up somewhere else when someone complains about getting scammed by him. :rolleyes:

Kingsnake.com, it was an ad for an Orange ghost BP.

I conversed with Ray a few times and he swears there is no one by the name John working for him. I am not accusing John of being a shady character. The way the events unfolded that day were somewhat suspicious, so I wanted to protect my interest. John comes across as a nice guy - ?????? Who knows?
 
Sorry, I thoroughly checked for the ad, but it appears the ad has been removed. He did claim there was a lot of interest.

OH, that's rich Joe. Given the fact that you used multiple alias on this board AND you decided to register the false name of Joe Walker and Jedd Johnson on Reptibid, I don't think you have any place here to talk. It took you over a month to admit that you were both Joe Walker and Joe Haggard despite the overwhelming evidence. Give it up Joe. Not that Ray is a good guy but quite frankly, you belong right there with him.

ive been hearing a lot about how ray is a bad guy and personally i would never do business with him, but im wondering why it is that i see all this bad hype and fauna still has his ads up in their python classifieds. one would think the ads wouldve been pulled, right?

I wish Ray’s ads were not here too.
Simply,This site gives us the ability to bring “Good Guy” and “Bad Guy” reports.
Rich has stated, he will not be a judge in each case that is made in the BOI.
It is our job to bring the information to the public and state the reasons why they should be cautious buying from some businesses. People also have to use the resources available to them as well. If his ads have to be somewhere, I would rather them here, just a click away from the BOI.
The only ads I have ever seen removed are the Nigerian scammers and ads that can be proven to be using someone else’s pictures.
