In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,

I was recently offered a fresh hatched clutch of L.T. Syspila and I'm just looking for some info on their care etc...
I can't believe how tiny these guys are!
Any feeding tips, temps and general care info would be appreciated. Also, how much do they usually sell for? I can't find prices anywhere.

Thanks!

L. t. syspila is very small :)

I've had luck with feeding in small boxes, with day old pinky.

What price is in U.S. I do not know, but in Europe they cost 190 Euros for a pair of normal, and 300 Euros for a pair of Hypo from 2011.

Hello

With young syspila, you will get better feeding responses if you get them excited with a skink. You won't even have to scent a pinky, just put a skink in front of them and when they get ready to bite it, replace the skink with a pinky and they will take it. For stubborn feeders (mostly babies, adults are great feeders) I put the pinky and the snake in a deli cup and put it back in its tub for the day and return to it every once in awhile to see if it ate it. If it did, then I place it back and don't touch it for 4 days. If it doesn't eat it, well, then I try again tommorow.
Temp wise, I live in Florida, where the temps reach up to 100, but I have fans that cool everything down so the temps hardly ever reach over 90 degrees. I keep all my snakes in my garage. Done it like that for awhile and I've never had any problems.
For general care, just make sure whatever you have them in a tight secure lid or such. I keep adults in a 16qt Sterilite tub. I keep all my snakes on newspaper and paper towel. Babies are in a 6qt Sterilite tub.
Have fun with syspila, once you get them eating, they grow fast.
Hope this info helps,
Jordan

Thanks for the replies! I didn't think they could do it but 3 have eaten day old pinkies. If the others don't eat I might try the skink trick.

Cheers,
Simon

The hatchlings generally go for between $75 - $125 each depending on their phenotype, if they are locality or not, etc..

I have several milksnake aficionado buddies that work with different locales of syspila.

best of luck with them!
