    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I live in southern Missouri where should I look to find a red milk snake in the wild. Do you look in diffrent places on rainy days then you would on sunny days.
 
You will find red milks out in the day but not totally exposed. This time of year (spring) you will have to look hard for them as they thermoregulate during the cool days by exposing as little as 6" of their coils. Look around trash piles, boards, and any where mice can be found. On humid days and nights, almost all snakes tend to wander more in search of mates and food.
 
Ok it's going to be in the 60's or 70's today. So look at trash piles under the junk. Will they be in these places on rainy day's? I'v heard there under rock's on rocky hillside's. Thank's for your information
 
Another good spot when it is cooler is under sheets of tin. The sun heats it up fast and the snakes love to get under it and catch some heat. I have noticed on rainy and humid days, the snakes begin to move and you can find them crossing roads a lot.
 
Hey John, any luck yet? I will be in central Illinois this week so I will be doing a little field herping there I hope......
