red tail or brb enclosure height

Would a 12" high enclosure...4'X2' be big enough for a red tail or for a brb?

I think a brb needs more height from what I've read but not sure. Would 2' high be better for the brb?

My wife is going to get either a red tail or brb adult and I need to know what the minimum height I need for each of these.

Had 8'X2'X2' enclosure for red tail many years ago but do not have this amount of space anymore.

This would be better in the boa forum and not aboreal but I keep all my adult boas in a 4x2x1
