• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

disgusting. i think ill make a bit of an effort to keep the link to this page on their site for as long as possible

He claims to have filed a 501 with the state, and that they are now in the process of becoming legal. At this time, however, they are merily conducting themselves as a nonprofit organization, without any actual merit behind it. He claims to be a breeder, which is obviously false, then turns around says he's a rescue.

To clarify, there are only 2 501C herp centered rescues with facilities in AZ, Phoenix Herpetology Society, which does lots more then just Rescues. Tucson Reptile Rescue which deals only with Reptile rescues. AHA is another great one, they are more of a foster network with rescues. All 3 orgs put their money into good works.

I run a registered, 501c3 reptile rescue in Massachusetts. While regulations differ by state, there is generally some type of registration (and usually associated fees) if someone advertises themselves as a non-profit organization especially one dealing with the welfare of animals. For us, we have to be registered with the Attorney General, have our 501c3, and be accepted by the Department of Agriculture.

From what I see here between the horrendous attitude and language, signs of flipping, and their blatant stealing of Friends of Scales' logo (a great rescue, by the way) this "rescue" is nothing but a front for this person/persons to get animals for cheap/free and take people's money.

How many rescues keep animals at "trusted shops" that don't have the intention of selling them. IF there are any that do. I've worked for many years with the SouthWestern Herpetologists Society, www.swhs.org, a for real Society and 501C3 and the paperwork is pretty plain.

These folks are just scammers.

To add to the pile of screenshots, i took some before they deleted.

Raven aka true birth name Rachel. Brought me Kaleesi. I am the Jessica or "hobbit" as he called me in the nasty mmessages. I am hoping to get a ride to the courts ffor a restraining order and put a stop

Just a heads up, they are under the name Midnight Rescue - Mr. Arizona now. They also seem to have a wild bullsnake, which makes me wonder if they had a permit to collect it....

Another heads up, they are calling themselves Not Backing Down. They are claiming that the AHA( Arizona Herpetological Association) supports them, but Curt Vratil(a board member of the AHA) has clarified that they do not.

Screenshot of them saying they have support and board members denying it

Neither Petco or Petsmart will "support" them without having a 501c3 standing. Have completed the process with Petco with my own rescue and requires several weeks (6+ usually) and a lot of paperwork including proof of 501c3, financial statements, and I believe a W-9. Just more bluffing in hopes of obtaining funds under false pretenses.

Their credibility would go A LOT farther without profanity laden rants. Time to grow up and act like professionals; if they want to be a "real" rescue then do it properly and act like adults.

I know, right? Personally, I am most particularly touched by the references to religion, morals and forgiveness... ROFL

I agree with this 100%. No one will take them seriously as a rescue if every post is a rant about other people filled with swearing. I've gone to their page a few times since reading this and that is all I ever see from them. Whoever is running it needs to grow up and act like an adult. Deal with the issues privately and act like a professional.

If their fuse is that short, one might wonder how safe the animals in their care are, and whether their rants and frustrations are taken out on the critters.

Who contacts a lawyer when an accountant is needed for taxes? (Yes I know tax lawyers exist however anyone would go to an accountant first)

Also, I have never heard of anyone being able to make money under a "business" and then claim it wasn't made because they spent it on something else.
