In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Reptidoc Dr. Darryl G. Walker

... The best thing would of been to take him to the vet. But really in my eyes a vet is for a animal you have a attachment to. I had no attachment to him. .....

'Nuff said, right there. You can go on and on about how truthful you are....and I might even believe you. I believe you were being completely truthful with that statement I quoted.

SO...you don't really care about the animals in your possession...animals that you have accepted full responsibility for? Is it just for the money? The cool-factor? What? It's obviously not about love of the animals. There are far too many people in this "business" just like this...and I for one, will not support them.

Ok wow I thought that was my last post but I guess not. Beth are you really going to come at me again. If I was not the good man that I am I would really tell you how I feel about you. My words would make you so ashamed for yourself. My words would pierce your very soul. But I will hold my tongue. I thought that we had dropped our petty stuff. I guess not. You better hope that the day never comes where your life is in my hands.

Once again someone that wont be bullied Beth you just do the bullying. Why dont you go and read a book. That is all the experience you have on any reptiles. You are not even a breeder of any kind. You are a no buddy. And yet you come at me like you gave corn snakes there name or something. Some people may give you respect out of pity but not me. Ok I guess you got a few words from me.

Josh, I have over 60 animals in my care right now. 4 belong to Carol. And if ANY of them look sick, YES they go to a vet. Even my pet RATS see a vet if they need to. Fortunately corn snakes rarely get sick, or need a vet but if one of them does, they go.

And I think teaching your kids that the only animals that deserve vet care are ones you are attached to is a horrible lesson.

Well I thought we had dropped the petty stuff too. But this is not about me, this is about YOU and what you did here in regards to this thread. This is about you not getting vet care for an animal that was suffering because you didn't feel like it. It is not about anything else. (I am still trying to figure out what a "no buddy" is.)
Thank you for the above post btw. Are you trying to help me out the way you are helping Doc?

Josh please don't take this as an attack, and I hope you understand my concerns are about the animals and not the transaction.

First I want to address the feed record you posted for the animal that you just put down. Now if I am reading it wrong please correct me.

7/4/10 1-fuzzy
7/6/10 regurgitated
7/9/10 1-fuzzy
7/10/10 regurgitated
7/20/10 1-pinky
7/25/10 1-pinky
8/5/10 1-fuzzy
8/7/10 regurgitated
8/16/10 1-fuzzy
8/17/10 regurgitated
8/25/10 1-fuzzy
8/26/10 regurgitated

I'm not sure why the snake regurgitated the first time but the feeding regiment that you followed would destroy any snake quickly. After the first regurge you should have waited a minimal of two weeks even better 3 weeks before offering another meal. You only waited 3 days after the first regurgitation. Snakes sometimes regurgitate for a number of reasons that aren't related to a serious illness. But continuing to feed with no real time for the snake to build back up gut flora before its next meal you can count on another regurge. Regurgitation is brutal on snakes especially in such a short time frame to have so many. I think you get the point I'm trying to make if you need me to be more specific I will.

Did you also notice that the only regurgitated meals were fuzzies. Maybe the OP has a bad batch of fuzzies.... or they are just too large for the animals. Either way.... it seems the snake was able to keep down pinks with no problems.

c. You know nothing about illnesses to treat anything yourselves. I did what I could believe me. I you do not fall under any of these

If you took the time to look at my profile you would see that I am indeed a student of Veterinary Medicine. Going on my third year and I STILL don't qualify myself to diagnose an illness. Unless you are a DVM, please don't assume you treated anything other than an ASSUMPTION of what you thought was wrong. You were obviously wrong anyway.

Don't pass judgement of me (or "any of you") unless you know what you are talking about. Clearly, that is not the case.

He kept regurgitating because of the strange lump in his mid section. It almost looked like he always had food in him. I let it go for a week or so before I feed him a couple of times before. I took him off of fuzzies and put him back on pinkies hoping that would help.

Hadn't gotten this far before I made my last post. That clears up one of the questions I had in that post.... thanks.

That statement right there is utterly disgusting! How dare you deprive a living creature help that it cannot get for itself! You bought it, YOU are responsible for it's care - period! If you had to get restitution from something that was not your fault, then that is what you do.

:iagree:

IMO... I belive YOU killed those babies by feeding them so many times shortly after regurging! WHY IN THE :censored: are you even in this if you care so little? What money? Good luck selling anything with that attitude! How can you sit and do nothing while you watch an animal "wast away" and not help them? You disgust me!

But hey good job on outing yourself as a HORRIBLE person!

If I can not self treat or medicate a doctor visit is not worth it.
wth... So, in effect, you say if an animal in your care has something you have no clue as to what it is, it has to suffer? "Because it's not worth it?" Worth you spending money on the care of your snakes? I guess not. Because you have 60 snakes, you can't see a vet? If you cannot afford emergency vet visits for any animal in your care, then you really should'nt own any.

One "had a lump". you let it go for MONTHS while it suffered! (didn't know what it was, so you couldnt treat it yourself, couldnt medicate, doomed it to die)
This is just sad. I don't even remember seeing him ask for advice on CS about what to do about (multiple!) regurges. Did he?

Lesson I am tired and this is pointless. None of you believe what I have said thats fine. I know I have not told a lie in about 10 years or something. I will not lie to anyone about anything.

I am also not going to stand here and have my words twisted around. If you can honestly tell me that you take every animal you own to the vet regularly then either a. you have plenty of money to do so b. You have 1 or 2 animals and not the over 60 that I have. c. You know nothing about illnesses to treat anything yourselves. I did what I could believe me. I you do not fall under any of these and you do have lots of animals that you take to the vet regularly lets see your proof. Show me your documents. Thats right none of you have any.

Uh yea I have WAY more than 60 animals and FYI none of us are talking about regular checkups if your a breeder you should be doing this every time you look at your snake if nothing else pop their mouths open once a month and KNOW their husbandry requirements! YOU said you KNEW they were sick and you did NOTHING. What you want to see a vet bill on a snake... ok. I spent $400 on one last week for blood work at VCA animal hospital in mesa,az call em ask em and ask how many times I see my snake vet a month! And thats with little issues.... none are even "wasting away"...don't belive me.. let's make a bet.

I said a few times I hate to be called a lier. I do not lie about anything ever in my life.

Lesson I am tired and this is pointless. None of you believe what I have said thats fine. I know I have not told a lie in about 10 years or something. I will not lie to anyone about anything.

How old are you again?

Especially when that statement is true. He sells sickly ,small, undersized, under fed, suffering animals.

Yeah, I'm sure there's no reason to wonder if they might be under-fed and suffering from regurgitating every week for two months...

The best thing would of been to take him to the vet. But really in my eyes a vet is for a animal you have a attachment to. I had no attachment to him. He could not stay health enough to grow a attachment for. If I can not self treat or medicate a doctor visit is not worth it. Besides I bought him from a Doctor!!!

This statement proves you to be someone who doesn't deserve to keep animals. I'm not bleeding-heart animal lover or anything, but when you keep and animal, you're responsible. If you don't have the money for a vet, you don't have any business owning the animal. PERIOD. You admit right here in plain language that you basically just kept feeding despite these symptoms and watched the animal waste away without taking them to a vet. YOU killed that snake. YOU. Go away.

FYI, I would NEVER refund anyone money that had treated their snakes like this after TWO MONTHS in their care. You deserve nothing. YOU killed those snakes.

Gee Josh, am I the only "bully" here?
Are alllll these people wrong too?
Why the special intense hatred for me, when it seems my opinion is in the majority here?
Ever stop to think that maybe YOU are in the wrong?

Thanks for the info Reptileman81. Now I know not to ever purchase any animal from you or sell any animal to you. How is that hole you dug yourself?

And now the world knows... what a complete, horrid man you are. I have several snakes, rats, two cats, and three dogs. I put my pets first. If I even get the feeling there's something wrong with one of my animals I take them to the vet immediately. I don't have a lot of money, my husband works in the Meat Department at Wal-mart and I'm in school. It's called making sacrifices. If you want animals you have to take care of them... that includes any vet visits that may be required due to illness.

You know who I think got screwed? The snakes. Did you even think about that? Or are you too worried about yourself? From statements you've made... I'd have to say you don't give a rat's ass about anything but yourself or you'd have taken the sick animals to a professional.

Oh and isn't a Doc a human doctor? I didn't think he was a Vet. I could be wrong.

I've never posted here before, so I do not want to cross lines of etiquette.
But to be brief, I have bought one 09 snake from Doc Walker in 09 that was perfectly healthy, age/size appropriate, and a fine specimen; and, never refused a meal. I lost this snake (it died) by my own bad husbandry some 4-5 months after purchase because I did not keep all of my snakes together in the warmest (ambient air temperature) room of the house (I did use UTH's). I learned a hard lesson. I have also bought two '10 snakes from Doc this year that are fine and healthy, and never miss a meal.
Doc has been very professional, likes his snakes to remain at the temp-controlled FedEx destination for pick up, and likes an email, but prefers a telephone call for confirmation of receiving OK animals.

Also, to be fair, I have exchanged PM's with Reptileman/Josh (May/June 2010??) about the possible purchase of a snake that originated from Doc Walker. Josh was very laid back, professional, and friendly and trustworthy in my estimation.
