In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptile Addicts - INQUIRY

I have known John and Fred for about 15-16 years now and there are two really great things about them. They are about the nicest guys you will ever meet and they are very honest about the animals they sell. They sell a ton of imported animals but they sell them as imported animals tell people how to care for them and sell them relatively cheap. They do also sell high end animals and they have bred many many species over the years. If you ask them questions they will give you good answers and you will be happy with your transaction. If you buy a $10 wild caught lizard and are upset because it dies down the road, that is really just a poor choice and you always do get what you pay for and that is why captives are more expensive than wild caughts. Hey Jim ......I did address the issue of weight with Reptile Addicts and was told give them water must have been from shipping.....Look i know it's a long trip from NY to Pa. And Jim I'm not taking cheap shots they may be great guy's but i like to know where my snake is comming from so i can decide to purchase it or not. It is my personal preference not to purchase snakes from anyone that deals with alot of W/C snakes.

Craig, I don't like to make assumptions in the forum.

Nor do I think that any of the more regular posters do either. When you mention this in your second post:

.... I like to know where my snake is comming from so i can decide to purchase it or not. It is my personal preference not to purchase snakes from anyone that deals with alot of W/C snakes.

I don't believe that anyone would question your right to that preference. But in your first post, you stated what were complaints about your deal that seemed to be unresolved (the disparity in weights), that standing by themselves gave no indication that you had spoken to Reptile Addicts about it. It may not have been your intention to give that impression, but without any followup, its an easy impression for the reader to take. You did mention that they contacted you to see if all was OK. An assumption would be that you are content with the weight question at this point, for after reading your second post, I don't see an indication otherwise. I thank you for clarifying the intent of your first post.

Jason,
I know Fred well, and have only good things to say about him. What caught my eye was the appearance of two old threads at the top of the BOI concerning the same subject. Resurrected by you, this seems to be your reasoning:

Could you explain this need to me? In both cases the thread was started by someone who had a concern, one not so good and one seeking information, respectively one and two years ago. If what you had to say was relevent, OK, but I think that the thread starters were not sitting at home wondering when someone was finally going to address their concerns, and might have been in the "fait accompli" category, don't you think? The normal means of utilizing the BOI to be laudatory to someone is to make a "good guy" post, and hope that the tone of the thread stays good. There were already posts supportive of Reptile Addicts in both threads. But to resurrect these threads, expecially the one involving the ill snake ..... again brings me back to my original querie, which is What were you thinking, what's the "need", etc? And falling back once again on the "Rule of unintended consequences", which occurs often in the BOI, the issue now seems to be that you may not have been forthcoming in revealing your relationship with them, and consequently people are questioning the objectivity of your original motives. I can't say as I would view the decision to dig up these threads as a favor to Reptile Addicts. Its that "need" thing I guess. Say "Hey" to Fred for me.

Interestingly enough, there are now 6 posts by Jason Jexon on KS selling reptiles. In one of the ads he is selling 0.60 03 "Virgin Balls".

Could the resurrection of 2 year old posts and the recent ads be mere coincidence?

I think not.

I have dealt with and purchased ball pythons and pacman frogs from them and no roblems what soever.
I am disabled and live on ssi, thus my resources for cash are very tight, Frank gave me almost $100.- off a yellow belly ball Python!!
He even allowed me to make a $50.00 deposit on her and leave with the animal trusting that i'd pay him and I did.
Ive had less than cordial experiences with John.
He doesnt seem to be a talker.
Fred however spent almost 2 hours developing a customer/vendor/vendor (as I also vend) relationship, he was friendly, courteous and very knowledgeable, he taught me a lot. Ive nothing bad to say about my experience with them but like any humans every now and then someone is going to have a bad experience or bad day when dealing with the or any other breeeder/vendor
Sincerely
Michael
