In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptile Addicts (NY)-Information

Reptile Addicts

I've bought 1 Spider Ball & 2 Pastels from Pets Plus in Lockport, & never had any problems with them.

I purchased a Pastel Yellow Belly from this man, that was said to be born in August of 09.
I received this snake in January. The snake was sent when it was 16 degrees locally that day, He did NOT put the apartment number on the Label. (Although i called to tell him that in particular, the day before) when I got the snake from the UPS facility, rather than the friend’s house that it should have been delivered to, after 730 that evening, the animal was cold and limp, and weighed 109 grams, with a feed card claiming to have fed him 16 times. A friend of mine, virtually, breathed life back into him. Reviving him, from almost certain death. However, he still died last week. I advised Fred of the situation immediately. his response was "I'm sorry to hear about this. I once received a ball python that was almost frozen solid, and he snapped out of it within a few hours. They are very resilient snakes. Let me know how he does and if there is any problems." followed by "as long as it's made it this far, it will be fine. Keep him at 88 degrees or higher for another week or two." (This was taken directly from the emails he sent me)

His overall solution to the problem is NOT, "Let me make it right and refund your money, or give you another snake." Rather he immediately stated, "on my original paper work from our conversation, you gave me an address with no apartment number. We do not guarantee shipping on orders that are miss handled by the carrier. The snake should not be eating pinkies, it will never eat pinkies they need something with fur. I do not appreciate calls from some third party whom says he has the snake now. I can offer you some sort of discount on another order. We only guarantee live arrival, and the snake is still alive. let me know what your interested in, and ill give you a discounted price."
He expected me to purchase another snake from him, in order to make things right. In other words, he wants to sell me a second snake, at a slightly discounted price, so he gets to sales out of the deal, and pulls nothing back out of his pocket. I’m attempting to warn EVERYBODY on Kingsnake, NOT to purchase snakes from this man. He has no morals. He could care less about his customers. And clearly, he mistreats his animals, by underfeeding them. DO NOT BUY ANIMALS FROM FRED KICK!!!!!!!!

Snake was born sometime in August and was received sometime in January...16 feedings is approx 3 feedings per month. Without seeing the condition of the animal, that hardly seems like mistreatment by underfeeding. It isn't pounding it with food, but how many dealers do that? While I agree that Fred Kick didn't seem to win a gold star for customer service, your post raises a lot of questions for me.

You say you called to mention the apt # the day before...at what time? Had the shipment already been processed? If you failed to give a complete address, you need to own a share of the responsibility.
Where did the pinky comment come from? It seems somewhat out of place, so describing the other side of the conversation might be helpful.
Regardless of anything else, I agree that a third party calling would be unappreciated. The seller doesn't know who that person is, or why he is involved.

I doubt he will bother to comment, but have you advised him of this thread (or, should I say, the multiple threads in which you have posted)

Snippets of emails can easily be used to show one's case....but intentionally limiting the information in that manner leaves the question of WHY?
Please post the emails in their entirety, so we can get the full picture. (you can edit out addresses & phone numbers, to maintain privacy)

(The problem with posting this in so many open threads, is that the discussion may be spread over all of them, making it difficult to follow. For future reference, it's better to utilize one thread to tell your story. If you feel a need or desire to make sure it hits multiple threads, you can post links to the full story.)

So the animal was shipped to another persons house, and fred was originaly given incomplete shipping info. You got the animal in january, how long did you have it before it died?

so you recieved the snake in january and it died last week (around march 20th i assume)......why is this the sellers fault????
to many variables could be involved within this time frame, the seller has no idea how it was being kept or if it was even being kept by you for that matter.
i see no reason why the seller should be held responsible for an animal that you had for 2 months. if you were not happy with it from the beginning then you should have requested that it be replaced or your money refunded right away.
while the seller should not have shippe in such weather it is just as much your fault for not requesting it be kept until better weather. i dont see why the seller should be held responsible for the animals death in this situation. sorry

I havent seen any corns at the last 2 Hamburg shows when I went to their stand.
I regularly look for odd albinos and amelanistic corns, Ive yet to see a corn on thier table.
Ive seen animals that noone else has shown but no corns to my surprise.
My experience with Fred has been a very pleasent one, he lowered the price of a yelllow belly bp to 1/2 its stickered price, let me pay 50% there and leave with the animal
It is very healthy and im happy with every phone call and email ive had with them all just in discussing future business.
