In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Anyone do business with them. Seems they are advertising a Leopard Gecko as a new morph. The have posted a couple different ads that seem to conflict with their own information.

Any info would be helpful

Considering he reposted the animal after a significant discussion ensued about its misidentification (it is not a snow enigma raptor, it's just an eclipse) with even more dishonesty, I would not touch this seller with a ten foot pole.

I'm honestly glad you took screenshots, I wish I saved the entire thread as an html document, since he promptly deleted all his advertisements once they were challenged. In his first ad, he stated the animal had two black eyes. When this was challenged because there is no way an albino could have black eyes, he deleted the ad and all relevant discussion and then claimed the animal had two red eyes. I asked him to post photographs of the gecko's eyes for clarification, and his response was to simply delete the ad. That kind of behavior raises warning flags.

By the way, it's not a bold stripe either, and you can already see where the pattern has faded. It's not going to get bolder as the gecko ages... that's not how leopard gecko coloration changes.

Do you have the old thread saved in it's entirety? If possible, could you post the entire discussion? Thanks!

I did not get the original discussion. I noticed that the story changed in the new ads so I decided .

Here are a couple adv they have on their FB fan Page. It would be interesting to hear what experts think of the genetics of these two.

The top one is certainly not a supersnow, and the one on the bottom does not look like a snow to me at all. There are two types of snows though, the codominant Mack snow which produces pale geckos in the heterozygous form, and a polka-dotted black and white gecko in the homozygous form. This is the only snow that is linked to a single gene. The other snows are all line bred, thus there is no super form.

I don't have a supersnow in my collection to post pictures of here, but a simple google search of albino supersnow is proof enough that the gecko pictured above is not a supersnow. Snake-eye does not imply supersnow, an albino supersnow should have two 100% red eyes. All the snake-eye implies is that the animal is an albino eclipse.

Actually, a lot of people are lucky he did pull the ads, as multiple infractions were warranted....
21 posts in the first ad, and you jumped right into the second one (I suggest people take a look at the Fauna Feedback Forum, specifically the thread about disruptive posting in a classified ad). Any seller with a lick of sense would have removed those ads...and locked the ad when he reposted it.

I started this inquiry thread and did not post anything on the second ad? Is this not the correct place to take this?

I was responding to Snowgyre...I have this bad habit of opening other tabs to view the threads in question while I'm posting; and the delay allows other people to add posts. I really should learn to
as a matter of practice. There is nothing wrong with bringing your concerns here - it's a whole lot better than 20 posts disputing the OP in an ad.

Got it thanks!

I personally wouldn't do business with him. Solely because he doesn't seem to know what genetics are in his geckos. I don't know weather he is simply mistaken and has to much pride to take anyone's advice or if he is deliberately trying to sell a gecko for more then it's worth by misrepresenting it.

However, my money's on him not knowing genetics too well. In one of his ads he labels a leopard gecko as Las Vegas snow 100% het supersnow 66% het patternless.

A gecko can't be 'het for super snow' since Super snow is co-dom snow x co-dom snow. NOT a recessive trait.

I agree with most of your message and get what you are saying about the co-dom snow but...

A Mack Snow (co-dom) is the heterozygous form of the Supersnow. The super snow is homozygous form. Saying 100% het for a SuperSnow is true but only if it is a co-dom snow. Het for co-dom trates is not used much in leopard geckos. Sometimes like with the YB ball python (aka het for ivory) it is. It is my understanding that co-dom snows do not hatch with yellow/orange color and supers are almost all pink then develop the pattern. I do not think Reptile Asylum means what I am decribing.

I belive you are correct (too proud and not up on genetics)

This Chris guy needs to swallow his pride and realize he needs to do a some brushing up on his genetics and morph identification.
I could be wrong, but I thought I saw him post on his original "dreamsicle" ad that he had been in the business for a while. After reading through his account for reptile asylum on facebook, which was created early this month, he states that he is just getting started. This definately isnt a person I would do business with.

Has Chris been notified of this thread?

I'm curious, and would like to ask him a question.

None of the geckos shown above are listed correctly. Not only would I not buy from a seller who doesn't know genetics/morphs, but I would never buy from one who acted the way he did in his ad.

I hope that he can learn from his mistakes and let someone help him out instead of arguing and disagreeing with everyone.

I'd like to know how old Chris is, and why he has two different accounts (showing very different ages).
Who is Michele, Chris?
And who is Angel?
