In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I bought a monitor from them at the Philly NARBC show on Nov 20 or 14, and it died shortly after, well I contacted them right away and they were nice to me and they didn't even ask for proof for the monitor that passed away. Well they finally got in blackthroats and even after a few months the manager Steve remembered me and was very nice to me and sent me a beautiful baby blackthroat with extrodinary colors. I was expecting to get in a rough looking one, but this one came in perfect and has a very clean cb look. All he asked me to do was pay shipping which I find very fair.
I would recomend people to buy from them.
Take care,
Omar

We bought a couple of dune geckos from them about a year ago. We emailed them for specialized care information and never recieved any. Later, the female got sick and stopped eating, so we requested more information from them to help her. It took them a week to respond and by then she was dead. That was the only dealing we have had with them.

Sorry man, did they replace it? It was the opposite for me, they answered my calls and emails right away.

My only experience with Reptile Depot was a good one. They are about the only of the "major wholesalers" I have bought from where I got animals that lived. I bought a few Crested Geckos from them 2 years ago as babies and they are part of my breeding group now. Great animals. I would buy from them again, which is more than I can say about pretty much every other wholesaler I have dealt with.

Yeah, they're pretty good, along with extreme reptiles which is another place I've bought from, but xtreme mainly deals with imports so a lot of times the animals won't do very well, but still there service is great!>

You two are the few and far between that have actually had a sucess with them. For anyone else just be very cautius of this company and there reptiles as well as there service. These two people are the lucky ones in my book. Shanell, The Reptile House.

It was months later that it died, she was feeding well when we got her, but then something happened. We dont blame them for selling us a bad animal, but they didnt respond to our emails very fast, that was what we didnt like. We never asked for a replacement.

My personal experience years ago was not as lucky as yours. I could not even get in touch with them, after numerous attempts. I couldnt even place an order if I had tried. I called, and emailed numerous times. No responses. I was simply trying to purchase some leaftails and misc specimens for a personal collection, and had bought one of thier useless "club depot" memberships to save some money on a potentially large order. Small price to pay, or so I thought. Not only did I get no notification that they recieved my payment for the membership, but got nothing in reponse, no mailings, no nothing. I requested a refund of the membership as well, nothing.

I've heard very similar stories from them as well. Next time I'm in town for a show they attend, I'd just LOVE to chat it up with them and see what they have to say "on the spot"

This had to be atleast four or five years ago perhaps, but still, every little scam and wrongdoing sticks with me. Unless I were to receive somesort of apology and refund for said membership fee I'm certain to inform anyone who ever inquires of my experience with them and how they neglected to handle it. Just bad business, simple as that.

Hey Chris, they were just at a show in NY I think. Im sure they will be there for another, they also go to Daytona I think. They are based in California so we see them at all the shows here.

I had one good experience with them with a ball python and leopard gecko shipped well arrived nice and healthy.

Then I took shipment of a Chinese water dragon that arrived very sick and died within 4 hours.

I called and recieved no help. Then they stated I must pay for shipping of the new animal. I let it go since I couldnt afford the shipping the second time arround.

I remember selling most of a litter of my boas to Reptile Depot wholesale at the Tinley Park show. I instantly regretted it when the employee carelessly crammed them into a bag containing boas from another source with out even looking at them. I was upset that it showed that they weren't concerned about the health of the animals just to make a fast buck and also that by bypassing quarantine procedures that any contracted illness from the other boas could potentially be associated with my name if there was a problem with a future customer. I don't currently wholesale my animals for personal reasons, however, if I did I wouldn't sell to the Reptile Depot let alone buy from them.

Not happy with them either

I bought a CH female ball python from them. She had ticks and a bad shed. It has taken a few months, but she is now a true beauty and eating like a champ. (Although, still in quarantine from October.) I guess I would ask alot more questions from them before buying, that is, if I ever considered buying from them again.
