In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Reptile depot

Good prices don't necessarily mean good quality or service..

I am always looking for good prices and whatnot, but if it means sacrificing the quality of service or goods, then it's not worth it at all...by the way, his name is Larry....

reptile depot

My experience with reptile depot...

A year back I paid $20 or so for their "club membership" fee quite some time ago... and then shortly thereafter tried placing a order for around $300+ worth of leaftails and they never responded. I placed the order on three seperate occasions and even asked for the money back from the "club membership" and got no replies. They walked off with my $20, Didnt even aknowledge I paid for this "membership"... and then wouldent even acknowledge I wanted to place an order.

I have a few choice words for people like that but I will refrain from polluting this thread with them... I still want my membership money back. twenty bucks is twenty bucks. It would have been better spent on lottery tickets.

Hope some good comes out of this...

btw..

for some reason I could not edit my previous post, I wanted to add that the $20 was a membership fee to recieve reduced pricing as a part of thier "club depot promotion"

After swiftly accepting my money they never emailed me or mailed me anything to do with this membership, no information at all, and ignored numerous attempts at contact when trying to place an order for leaftails I was searching for at the time for my own personall collection. I then asked for a refund on the $20 they gladly accepted for the membership and never recieved anything. If I know about this BOI sooner you can bet I would have been here informing you guys last year about this. Better late than never.

I bought two crested geckos from Reptile Depot two days ago (Sunday). I also ordered 100 crickets and a jar of T-Rex Crested Gecko Diet.

The shopping cart on their site isn't great -- it lost my items a few times while I continued shopping and it couldn't properly calculate shipping, which resulted in a higher amount being charged than I expected. I talked to an employee of RD on the phone yesterday, though, and he was very nice and cleared it up and went ahead and confirmed that my order had shipped yesterday and provided the tracking number.

Despite the minor annoyances related to the shopping cart and shipping total, I couldn't have been more pleased. The cresties arrived in separate deli cups with paper towels for padding and humidity. The crickets arrived in a larger deli cup, taped closed (thank goodness!) and with egg crate pieces to climb on/hide in. They didn't forget the CGD, and they also threw in two free jars each of RepCal Herptivite and RepCal Calcium with Vitamin D3, for a total of 4 free jars. Everything was packed professionally, and so far the little guys look good.

For some reason I neglected to search the BOI before ordering from them and probably wouldn't have if I'd read the posts here first, but maybe the months that have passed since they were last posted about have given them time to make improvements. At any rate, my ordering experience was fine and I would most likely be willing to try ordering from them again.

I've never had anything shipped from Reptile Depot (they are only about an hour away). But everytime I visit their shop, they've been pretty good. I also just bought two baby cresteds from them last Saturday when they were about to close, and despite having moved all the animals to the back office, the guy helping me still went back and took out all the tanks that held the cresteds. He still took the time to let me handle some and talk to me about them and he gave me a great deal for two so I couldnt resist. The animals were in good health and I couldnt be happier with the purchase. I understand it may be different having to deal with them shipping/online wise, but I just wanted to throw in my experiences with them. Thanks.

ght to cresteis from reptile depot at a show abought 6 months ago. They are both still great, the RD people were cool, and the animals are awesome. Not refuting anyone's claims, just giving my own experiences with RD.

I vistited their store a couple years back (I believe they were in the process of moving locations) and have to say I was appauled. I've never seen so many dead chameleons just laying in the bottom of over crowded cages. The worst part was, the people there didn't act like it was a problem or anything but a regular occurance. I can only hope they've improved since I visited.
