In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I recently became certified with Reptile Express and it has been an experience. The first dealing with them really went bad from the begining till getting Mike and Debbie from Reptile Express involved. I got to the termial of UPS and was turned away for shipping snakes I showed the waiver given and they still refused. After several communications with the staff of reptile express every thing was cleared up. I walked into UPS the next day and was welcomed with open arms by a very sorry staff. Thanks Mike and Debbie for Quick reaction and for following through on promises on there site with any concerns. They really made it happen for their customers. I was reasured by the supervisiors at UPS there will be no further issues in the future. Thank Mike Masters

I agree, I have been using them for the last couple months and had only one issue which was my fault and they resolved it within minutes. I accidentally put the wrong zip code on my label and they refunded me my money immediately and I printed the correct label without delay. Great customer service. Good customer service starts with how you handle problems that arise. I know some people are skeptical about Reptiles Express because of what happened with SYR, but believe me they get the job done. No worries here.

not sure if you guys heard, but they are not able to ship snakes currently.....they posted a statement on their homepage.

Just noticed that myself. I read another post about it and it sounds like the higher ups at UPS are 50/50 on the matter and have asked to stop the shipping of snakes until they have reached a decision on how to go forward with the issue.

Danny is right, Reptiles Express temporarily stopped shipping yesterday until UPS works out a few legal issues. As for RE They are great!!!! Debbie is awesome!!! I had a few packages that UPS "Misplaced" temporarily and RE refunded my shipping costs immediately plus she responds to emails and calls half the night when others would be in bed (She may not even sleep lol). Michael you may want to edit your thread from Reptile Express too Reptiles Express? When you google Reptile Express it brings up 1 company in Ontario Canada and 1 in the UK! It has been confusing for some people!

I've seen this confusion posted for a little while now on different threads, and so I just wanted to come on here and clear some of that. We are the owners of Reptile Express in Ontario, Canada. We actually had the name (and the domain) a few months prior to Reptilesexpress.com launching. We never knew of them wanting to start up until one day, 3 months after we launched, I was playing around with the name (yes, I google search a lot :)) and it took me to their website that said it was "under construction". It was a little bit of a shock for us as well, and we immediately knew we'd have to re-direct some phone calls. lol.

Anywho, it's caused a bit of confusion for sure for some US residents as we have been getting quite the number of calls as well as emails.

We simply forward them to Debbie at the correct website/contact number.

While I'm here, just wanted to add that Debbie sounds to be a wonderful lady and really is providing great customer service from all the threads that I've been following up on in the last little while.

Handling reptile shipments for the masses is no easy work let me tell you. It can be very stressful, and working around the clock comes with the territory with running this type of service.
I'm sure with UPS' ways Debbie needs a nice little vacation lol.

I hope that they are able to get their snake waiver re-instated and can function at 100% once again.

Services such as these are very important. Offering shipping in any business is key ;)

All the best,
-Sam Fard

Reptiles Express is the greatest! Debbie is a sweetheart and will work her butt off for ya to make sure everything goes smoothly. everything will get straightened out with snake shipping just have to have pataints. i will never use anyone else but Reptiles Express.  for a great company!  for the great service!   for sweet hard working Debbie!! had to grow another arm quick on that 1 lol

I have to agree here... Debbie has been in contact with several of their customers concerning this and all you have to do is be patient until they figure out a better system! This has absolutely nothing to do with the Customer service or the Customers of RE.. I wouldn't sweat it .. just hold off on shipping snakes through them for a few weeks and I'm sure it will all work out in the end! I'm hoping that one of the two will come on here and give a little more information because they know what's going on while most everyone is in the dark about it! Debbie has always been wonderful and will even answer your E-mails at 2 AM :)

The success Reptiles Express has enjoyed these first few months has been fantastic – THANK YOU! to all who have joined as members and are using our services!

We have been working hard with UPS to develop a business model that provides value and service to the reptile community, and overall things are going well. We have however had some issues that need to be resolved concerning the shipping of SNAKES.

While reptile enthusiasts think nothing of holding, handling, or transporting a harmless non-venomous snake, this is new territory for UPS personnel, and the idea is taking some time to be fully accepted.

Technically we DO have a “snake waiver” – we CAN ship snakes. But in spite of that fact, there has been some resistance to accepting them at some of the UPS facilities. This has resulted in confusion, delays, etc, which is obviously not good for any of us - including the animals. In order to preserve our ability to ship snakes going forward it’s important that we help UPS work through these issues as calmly and smoothly as possible.

In an effort to do this, effective immediately we are placing a temporary suspension on the shipping of snakes. This is a voluntary move on our part that we feel is in the best interest of us all, and it applies to SNAKES ONLY – we ARE still shipping other reptiles.

Updates on this issue will be posted on www.reptilesexpress.com as things progress.

We thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and for your continued support as we work towards making Reptiles Express the best it can be for us all.

I have shipped dozens of geckos and a snake through Reptiles Express with no trouble at all. I couldn't be happier with them, especially the great service and response time from Debbie that others have noted.

i just recently used RE to ship some snakes, i didn't have any problems dropping the package off and they arrived on time and in perfect condition . As someone who has no other source of shipping snakes legally this does put me in a bind. hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Yes Mike... that is correct.. they have been trying to resolve it but RE voluntarily removed it's waiver while SYR's waiver was taken away by UPS. I think there is a BIG difference in the way things are going to be handled this time around. Debbie and the team there are working hard to resolve this in a timely manner and hopefully people will be understanding!

Got any proof it was Voluntary? UPS had very mixed responses to people shipping under RE's waiver so I wouldn't be so quick to accept it being voluntary.

But guess what people. it is still VERY easy to get a Fedex Waiver.

Noone knows for sure wether it was voluntary or not but I can only trust what we've been told unless someone from UPS wants to come on here and tell otherwise... I don't think it will take long to resolve the whole thing but who knows for sure except the staff at RE and the head guys at UPS!

Yes it is easy to get that FedEx waiver and it is definately good backup.
