At a recent reptile expo my cousin and I bought a California Kingsnake from Allen Both of Reptile Kingdom. After looking through all the other tables of reptiles, we came back to his table because the snakes looked like they were the nicest looking, but also the healthiest. Allen was patient as we asked to take out almost every single Cali Kingsnake he had to choose one. He sexed every single one of us, never once complaining about all the attention we were hogging. The one we wanted to take, he happily sexed in front of us. He was happy to answer any questions we had about the snake's feeding behavior and needs. He gave us several copies of his business card, and we took the little kingsnake home.
He was also happy to tell us all about his other snakes, knowing that we weren't interested in buying them. He was more than willing to teach us about the scaleless rat snakes and he happily let us handle whatever we were interested in. He didn't seem to mind any of our multiple questions. After we purchased the Cali Kingsnake, he told us not to hesitate to call him with any questions, and that he'd be happy to help out if we needed him.
The snake settled in wonderfully, and after 5 days of bringing him home, he happily ate his first meal with us without any problems. The snake is relaxed, healthy, active, and a joy to have. I've read different reviews about Allen Both here on the forum, but our experience with him has been nothing short of pleasant. Who knows, maybe he's turned over a new leaf
