    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just wondering if anyone has done any business with these people. I am looking to engage in a trade with them for some hots and I was wondering about them.

No Problem Here

I just completed a deal last week Randy (Randall Ellis) of Texas and all went perfect. I bought a subadult Dumerils from him that arrived very healthy, safe and ,and a great feeder. I can't speak for his "hots" or any issues the previous poster eluded to but I have no complaints as all went very smoothly. I personally will do business with Reptile Locators again.
 
Randy is a

top notch guy. I 've done a few deals with him, and find him to be honest and not to mention one hell of a deal maker. You shouldn't have any problems with Randy or his wife.

Bud what is your problem! talkin smack!?? number one you never got animals from me directly and i should not even have to defend my self from the likes of you! if anything you aquired animals that may or may not have come from me in a round abouts way. BUT NOT Directly from me!! in any way shape or form!
but you know the real problem is i have not sent you any animals because you bad mouth every one. so now you are finished with Russ. which i do not know! you need someone else to sling crap about which realy sucks on your part since you have never bought animals from me nor were ever sent animals to by me!
this is one reason you told me BOB was a crack head not to send animals to him because he spends the money on crack even if he did he has made the attempts to make payment! all you could do was brag about how many bars of venom you could do! and ask me to send hots to you because you were the only guy in FL. with the brains to keep hots everyone elese was just amatures!and have no business with hot's. and if you took animals from any one and did not quarintine them it's only your fault and no ones eleses.

hey everyone in the heat of getting angry with the fact that bud had the nerve to even post such slanderous crap with no reason to, i did forget about a shippment sent to bud IN CARE OF BUD for bob! and this is when Bud decided to start the send me animals not them crap! and that shippment has no bearing
on what ever bud has dreamed up! even though their may have been some loss due to who knows what or why which is not uncommon in import animals.

bud you have caused lots of people harm with your lip smakin and
have many people upset with you over it which is causing the down fall of our trade just for your persaonal gains and glory
but everyone should know by now this is all brought on yourself.

I will no longer lower myself to the sub standards of this thread you have started and hope it all comes back to bite you in the ASS!

so any way Thank you Bud you have made me a beliver that their is still jelious and envoius people in this buisness that would degrade honest people for their self gratification !

Clearing the air on Bob E.

To all i was not stating that bob was or is on any kind of drugs
just a statment on how malicious someone can be. Bob E. is a great guy and now i feel that i have hurt him and caused him problems over what someone else stated to me. i do not belive this to be true about Bob we have done lots of business and hope to remain friends with bob, BOB you are a good guy and i do apologize to you for what has happend. and was not my intentions to put you in the middle of this it was mearly a statment just to show that the extreems someone would go to,to gain someone elses contacts.



and to bud yeah Ha Ha I am glad you think this is funny and you are rite i am not as sharp when it comes to dealing with people like you i have been honest and truthfull and i can admit when i make mistakes ! and i am not backtracking just stating what was said.

Yes you may have a box sent under your name and He did state it was sent to you but I have an invoice dated, 9/18/02 for that box with whom the animals were
sold to.
and it's not your name on it. why do you get off to things like this?

all I ask for if someone sells me snake is that is not dying.
your first batch of snakes had snake mites but thats not fatal
unless you are a baby sand viper then your drained of blood and to weak to eat what 20 died sad.
the next batch almost all snakes died and even killed peoples ltc snakes.
do you have a number of the dead from that last shipment?
I asked you what do you did for a living you said selling snakes It sent shivers down my spine.

I can't help but jump into the middle of this. I have done business with Randy numerous time and have no complaints whatsoever. I have not had problems with sick snakes from Randy. As a matter of fact Randy has been one of the fair and honest people in the herp world that I have dealt with.

In this particular situation I have first hand knowledge. Let me start by saying that I personally do not know Bud but I have met him briefly and talked to him and Bob on the phone. I have nothing bad to say about either of them but will state facts. I purchased about 25 adult WDB's, 3 Mojave's, 5 Desert Massasaguas, 4 Praries, and 1 Lepidus (as well as a lot of non-venomous) back in early July of 2003. Of the 25 WDB's, 19 were sold a few weeks later to a venom lab and we kept 6 gravid females. The 3 Mojave's and 3 of the Desert Massasaguas turned out to be males that we did not have room for or want to keep. We arranged with Randy to give them to Bob but that never materialized. Then Randy arranged to have Bud take them. I personally drove to Wildwood, Fl to meet Bud and deliver the snakes. The next thing I heard about the deal was Randy telling me that Bud told him that the snakes all died and also wiped out a bunch of LTC snakes. The point to this story is that I had the snakes for over four months and with the exception of one of the Desert Mass. only eating sporadically they were all feeding normally and seemed to be totally healthy. Also I did not loose any snakes from my collection (about 100 hots & 75 non-venomous) including the rest of the animals I got from Randy. I did check with the venom lab and they did not have any problems either (they have approximately 500 crotalids in production).

I want to stress that I do not know Bud or Bob personally and in no way am implying anything bad about either of them, I am only stating facts. I have and will continue doing business with Randy Ellis because in my opinion he is one of the most honest and fair people I have dealt with and I have been doing this for twenty years. I always quarantine all new arrivals and practice extreemly good sanitation procedures when going from cage to cage.

Sorry for rambling on but I feel like Randy was getting a bad rap. thanks, Mickey
 
oh yea another bunch of dying snakes

yes remember those snakes they all died in the following weeks after I picked them up.
they were all near ridge backed and dying also they were from the same bunch that the big die off occured.

so I drove over a hour and a half to get reimbursed for the dead snake then all of those die asap and I should give you a good
report thats not how it works.

all the snakes were dying long before he shipped them thats what im getting at why ship dying snakes?
its a money thing.

let me ask you this have you paid bob for all the dead snakes?
he sold them all over and they died.

I dought any of the rattlers were fed at all and starvation was the main cause of deaths with a little viral activity to finish them off.

Ever Hear of Quarantine?

Hey Bud. Let me get this straight. You picked up sick and dying animals in person without having a clue they were in this condition and then proceeded to contaminate your collection? It seems to me if you're an experienced herper you'd be able to spot sick animals and know enough to keep them separate from the rest of your animals. Hell, even if they looked perfectly healthy anyone with any knowledge knows enough to segregate and isolate new animals (it's called quarantining btw).
You're the only person so far that has anything negative to say about Randy. How come Bob hasn't come forward to back up anything you've said since he's your buddy? Could it be because he knows it's all bull? We already know from your own statements you must not quarantine animals properly so what's to say the rest of your husbandry skills don't suck?
Frankly, you're the person I'd avoid dealing with here, not Randy.
Anyone else feel the same way?

If that is true then who is Bill Haast. I certainly hope someone is not that vain to think they are the best when there are so many very good keepers in FL.

Bud, IF (and only IF) you really made the remark about you being the only one in Florida qualified to keep hots, that is crazy talk. I may be "brainless" and an "amature" compared to you in Your opinion but I would never presume to know every one of the 700+ permited keepers in Florida enough to make such a judgement. What about Bill Haast? I would hardly call him either brainless or an amature. I hope you really did NOT make a comment like that.

Well Bud, people are on here are posting positive feedback for Randy. If you had a bad experience, hey sorry about that. Like I said and many others here, our deals with Randy were top notch and we wouldn't hesitate buying from him again!
