    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been wanting to purchase some magnetic items for my cham cage from their website but haven't been able to find any information about them since 2013. I'm wondering if they are still in business so I can purchase the items I am wanting. I have messaged them via their message system and haven't heard anything back yet so any information on whether or not they are still open would be very much appreciated =)
Also if they are any opinions on how well the magnets work (thinking of the medium planter ledge and feeder bowl ledge)
Thanks so much in advance for any information anyone could have =)

I purchased chams from their store online (best through a phone call, sometimes email). Their website is poorly updated, but have always done me right. From what I can tell they have a typical brick-and-mortar store and do ads on kingsnake. So as far as being satisfied/not getting screwed, I do not think that'll be a problem, though I cannot vouch for the product in particular you're referencing. Could you link me to it?

I have a couple of those planters and feeding ledges. The magnets are extremely strong, they hold in place very nicely.
I'm using them in screen cages, but on one cage I have coroplast on the sides to hold in humidity, so that makes it a more rigid surface to support the planter. On the other I have a thin faux stone background panel, which also makes a more rigid surface.

thank god they are still open =D ive been really wanting to buy these haha

and thank you for the information about having the planter one already, if it wasnt on a stronger surface (just plain mesh) do you think it could be too heavy for the cage?

I have a similar one, it's just a rock-looking-ledge, and it's affixed on the side of a reptarium black plastic mesh. It does droop a little so it's not completely horizontal, but it still works and supports the geckos' weights.

When I had the planter on just screen, I used a small, thin piece of plastic on the outside of the cage, so it held it without bowing too much. It gave it more surface area to support the weight. It was the plastic shield that comes on some aquarium lights. I just cut a piece off, and put it between the magnets on the outside.
I use the feeding ledge for worms, but I had to take out the little cup that comes with it. My chameleon struck at a worm, and somehow had enough of his tongue grab the dish and knock it out. So now I just put them in without the dish.
I made a drainage hole in the planter, because the mister would hit it, and fill it with water. They look fantastic, I really like them.

thanks much for the information =) I really need the feeder ledge because right now my guy isnt really hungry and his worms either drown because they are on the floor or he knocks them over because they are just balanced on some branches and he decides to use the bowl as a walking area...
