    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Reptile Pets Direct

They got back to me a few days after i made the last post and i figured it was just due to the show that weekend.. So i figured id give it a go.

Reptile came from them (originated in texas) but it came with a full blown RI. Worst ive ever seen. It died the next day. They replaced it but i had to pay another shipping charge.
Fedex got the best deal out of it all.
 
I recently received a message saying that they sometimes ship for Backwater Reptiles, but that they are separate companies. In the same message, it was also stated by Reptile Pets Direct that my tracking number was "invalid", but this delivery confirmation message from Fedex looks to me like Fedex's take on the matter is incongruous with that latter claim.

Received delivery this morning of a Jungle Carpet and a Jaguar Carpet. I spoke to Derek who was professional and quick to respond to email and providing pics of the snakes. The carpets arrived well packaged and in what appears to be terrific condition, just as described.

I will buy from again. Totally positive experience.
 
I checked my shipping box to compare to the above shipping label posted by Nicholas Anastasiou. The Backwater Reptiles address is the same as the Reptile Pets Direct address. My experience was still positive. I suppose any company may have other identities or brands.
 
I emailed them about some chameleons and also mentioned this thread......they said that Blackwater was a completely different company..........................so not really sure what to think considering that a previous post had their companies with same address....
 
They can certainly be different companies. One possibility is that Backwater may take orders and sell product and Reptile Pets Direct actually has the reptiles and ships from their location. Sort of how Amazon has a million different products but if you look closely, the "seller" is another company and the distributor is Amazon.
 
I did not order from BackWater Reptiles, as I would not have, so Reptile Pets Direct was not shipping for them. I ordered from Reptile Pets Direct and the shipping information indicates I was sent a package by BackWater Reptiles. Possible reasons for this include that the information presented about Reptile Pets Direct having the animals was incorrect/false and they were using BackWater to ship animals Reptile Pets Direct did not have (I have no reason to think this) or the separate company identity information is questionable (given that the company name for BackWater Reptiles and the sales email address for Reptile Pets Direct were coupled on the shipping information shown above, I find this probable).

What I have seen indicates either they are the same or they advertised BackWater stock as their own. Either, to me, is a disappointment. By hiding this information, the company prevents buyers from acting in a fully informed capacity. This may not bother some. It does bother me, as reputation is a concern for me. Had this information been available prior to purchase, I would have sought another vendor. I wanted nothing to do with BackWater.
