In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What's the deal with this guy? He string me along on a trade for like a week. I make him a very fair deal and he tells me "I was never going to sell the Black head anyways". Who does that? Why would you waste someones time if you had no intention of selling an animal you posted for sale on KS? Has anyone else had an experiance like this?

Matt T.

Tennesse, I don't know his last name. But he had ads on KS. As soon as I informed him I was posting on BOI. He pulled his KS ads. And told me I'd only hurt myself if I posted here.

Matt T.

Not of the KS ad but I've got all the emails from this idiot. I'd be happy to post the emails. I want to save others the troulbe of dealing with shady characters like this guy.

>Sounds like a good deal. However, the Diamond is too small
to breed! and yes you are right about having to grow them
slow, that is why I do not want it. I deal with a lot of
GTPs and I only take in babies.I like the colors as babies
and then I sale them if I do not like them as adults! I
found a pair of Diamond that ready to breed for 1800.00
shipped. They are very nice snakes. However, I can not put
1800.00 cash down right now because of college, car, and all
75 of my snakes. The Black Headed Python is no longer for
sale. The only way that I would sale him is if I could not
find a female. The prices on Black Heads are coming down
fast and I can get a female now for 1000.00 or less! So, I
am going to keep my male. I was never going to sale him
anyway. Just seeing what I could get. I know a lot of people
that deal with snakes and I will send them your photos and I
sure I know some one thatwill buy one of them.

Thanks,

Randy

>Post whatever you like! I will sale for the right price and
to some one that knows how to take care of them. You just
had nothing I want but the Dimond and it is to small. I
would have taken it if it was a big one! You can post
whatever you want, where every you want! Will not hurt
me,ONLY YOU!!!!!!

You were never going to sell him anyways. What the

The part I bolded would IMO raise a buyer beware warning to me. Otherwise nothing seems out of the norm. Offer/Counter Offers were made which seem fine and he even offered to pass the word to his connections for you.

Sounds like he resorted to the bolded part as a jab instead of just declining the sweetened deal you were offering.

That's exactly my point. I'm not mad about the back and forth. Thats the nature of trading.I'm pissed about the fact no matter what I offered he was never going to sell. Seems like the makings of some sort of scam. And I find it odd as soon as I told him I was posring here he pulled his KS ads.

Matt T.

seems to me if I complained about you posting but not selling you would take it down, no? I have seen adds that were only meant as a tool to test the market, it happens. From what he said, if you came with the right price , maybe he would have. Are you just using the boi to get back cause he wouldn't take your trade? its ok if you are, you wont be the first. Now feel free to jump on me, I dont care my animals do my talking............

The 'seller' tipped it more towards an appropriate posting then the 'buyer'. A simple refusal on the seller's part would have been the way to go IMO. You can test the market by looking at ads and/or asking in discussion forums.

This tactic would turn away from Randy. Too many other straight forward breeders out there. No need for me to play guessing games on whether an animal is REALLY for sale or isn't.

Maybe I was not understood..... All I am trying to say is that I have seen such behavior, not thats its right, only that its not always a prelude to a scam. I may not want to sell gecko "A" but if some one sees it and offers 500 for it, its gone... hope no one thinks i am defending a bad act, that wasn't my intent.

Ben, don't misunderstand me. I fully understand about changing your mind. If you read the emails you'd see it wasn't a matter of for the right price. I told Randy that I could just sell the animals I had and pay cash for the Blackhead. It wasn't until I threw a real good deal out there that suddenly " I was never going to sell anyways" came into play. That's not fishing the market that's being an idiot and wasting my time. He had two ads up there and they both were removed when I told him my intentions to post here. And my motivation to post wasn't to get back at him for changing his mind. It was to find out if this was a trend and warn others. I turned down two other chances at trades while he and I were talking. If he has no intention of selling
he should have been upfront about it.

I know Randy personally
He lives in Tracy City Tennessee.. I used to sell reptiles and exotic mammals to the pet store he used to work at that blew up (lightning strike) a few years ago.
He would have me completely unload my truck and look through every single animal and hem and haw about what he wanted and then ask me to special order things (which I did one time) big mistake.
He is not inherently bad, just wants you to think he knows what he is talking about and wastes the crap out of your time and your money too if you give him the chance.
He is a bored kid that wants to be a big man in the reptile business. But harmless if you dont waste your time.
