    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have gotten into the rhacodactylus geckos and I have cresteds and gargoyles, but I am really wanting a chahoua.. HOWEVER I am wondering if anyone has been to any reptile shows lately or is going to sell any in the upcoming one in Daytona and has any ballpark idea of what price I am looking at? I have seen them ranging from 350 up to 900 dollars online... I haven't been able to go to any reptile shows and I would greatly appreciate any imput!
THANKS!!!!

Well, I cant help you out with selling you a chahoua gecko, but I CAN tell you that yes, I just went to a reptile show in San Jose, CA and yes there were a few there. I'm also going to another show on Sept. 18-19, but am mad to have to wait that long. I can also tell you that there is a wide range in price on those geckos because it depends on the market for one, the age/weight/ect, if it is a rare breed compared to others, and so on. i have seen some pretty amazing rare imports go for higher than $900, but usually you can get something really nice in the $450-$500 range at shows. Hope ythis helped a bit.

While I do not know what the prices would be I can say with almost certainty there will be plenty at the show in Daytona. That show is huge and has more verity of critters you'll find anywhere. If you have the opportunity to attend the Daytona show you'll be overwhelmed at the size of the show and all the critters out there.

I agree with DAND. By the way, DAND, what the heck kind of invertibrate is that on your avatar? Never seen one like that.... Anyway. message me if you want.

Thank you all I wish I was able to attend the Daytona show, but sadly I won't be able to :( I am sending money with someone though and hoping for the best!! WISH ME LUCK!!!

Good luck, and be smart- instead of buying "what you can", if there is a chahoua that you want more thats not at the show- even if it is more expensive- I would save more and get it! Dont settle for less and (this is great advise too...) don't buy animals just to buy them. just take it easy, set a goal, and do lots and lots of research specifically for what you want. I'm VERY sorry if I have mama complex on this one, but I have good advise- ask anyone!
