    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

They are out of Antioch, California apparently some guy named Leif iversen. Well I bought a 4lb bag of repashy superfly that expired 9/2013. I called and left a message explaining the situation. Left a fb message and never heard anything back from them. I then filed a claim with PayPal. I still haven't heard anything. Somewhat disappointed in them, its not much money but who sends out expired products? The dates are stamped on the bag for a reason...use it!!

Your grievance with the seller aside, expiry dating is a regulated process and is often not indicative of any major loss of product quality in its recommended storage condition (or better). So if you have concerns about its safety or quality, do not worry. You should still be able to use it. I used to work with product stability and expiry dating (among many other things) for a wide variety of pharmaceuticals and dietary supplements. In an analogy, if the product was intended as a processed food material or supplement for humans, I would not fear personally using (consuming) it.

I should probably clarify.

It does for some types of items. I doubt your product is among them, although state regulations vary, too. In addition, it is often considered a regular aspect of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Finally, if there is to be international sale, other nations have their own regulations. It is simpler to put an expiry date on there (not sure what the stability testing requirements are for this product) and have it provide broad regulatory body satisfaction than to not do so and come under fire in any particular area.

It can be about meeting specifications and it can be about so-called "freshness", but I would not worry about it. It should be safe to use under typical conditions. I would have no qualms.

All repashy products have a Exp. Date stamped on them. In this case the EXP. Date was 09/13 so whether or not that's a best buy date or whatever else it was out of the manufacturers best by date. Now any good or reputable company would have made me aware of this. There are vitamins and minerals which Allen Repashy himself has said lose their effectiveness after a certain period of time. Regardless of any of this information...I should have been made aware of the information. Thanks..I am just informing anyone else who may buy a product from them of my experience. There are many products at the grocery store that have expiration dates on them and I wouldn't eat something outside that date. That is just me though...I also think feeding my animals the freshest vitamins and minerals possible is a good husbandry practice as well. But hey that's just me. I want my animals to be given top notch ingredients in their diet.

I agree that you should have been informed about the expiry date. When I buy products that have a recent expiration date, I expect to do so going in (having the opportunity to make an informed decision).

That said, I wanted to share about the irrelevance to safety and, in all great likelihood, nutritional potency. The width of the spec, not counting analytical variability, is likely greater than any degree of degradation you would experience in the time frame given. All the more, potentially, if you include the error bars for analytical variability.
