In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have order a few times from reptilefood.com, and am always please when the package(s) arrive. All are packed well, with min. loss. Prices for the food and shipping are great.
Will order from again in the future for sure.

keep up the great work.

Ronnie Buck's got the best stuff!!!

Bottom line when it comes to gutloads and such Ronnie of cricktfood.com is the best. My offspring grow at unbelievable rates and show amazing color. I have heard from a few different people that there are other products to try out in the market but to be honest I don't care. The reason: what I use can't be beat!

I was a pretty religious user of reptilefood.com until today. I just went back to their web site to place another order, and noticed their shipping prices are getting REALLY out of hand. They used to be the cheapest out there, but not anymore.

I placed my first order with Reptile Depot (herpfood.com) today... Prices were much better. Hopefully the insects are as good.

I also was a big fan of reptilefood.com. I used them for over 2 years until about 2 months ago. Their customer service has gone from excellant to nonexist. When I have a problem I get no response at all. It has happened twice in the last 4 months that I was using them. Then they changed their shipping options for me that I could only get overnight instead of two day. Even when I get two day it still comes overnight. Why pay double for overnight service when I can use two day and get it overnight. I switched to superworm farms. Even with the taxes I have to pay it's still cheaper and I think their products are even better.

The Depot isn't as good as it seems on paper.....

Maybe something is up with reptilefood's site for calculating orders because I got another shipment from Ronnie a few weeks ago and all the prices seemed right. Try emailing him to see if it was correct but if you are ordering 15-20+ lbs of gutloads you might have to spend a couple bucks.

As for Retile Depot, good luck with those characters. I was suckered one time to buy their "membership" thinking that I would more than make up for it in cheap feeders - and example being their "10 box deal" of crickets. Well, let me tell you about the filth I recieved from them on a consistant basis - just about the only consistancy there is with Reptile Depot. When I would recieve my shipment on time, very rare, a good chunck of the crickets would be dead, or there would be tons of waste from the crickets like they were sitting in those boxs for quite some time. Now, I know crickets stink but the stuff I recieved from RD was putrid. Not only with their crickts but also their Butter and Wax worms as well. Good luck trying to get some type of credit for doa feeders too becuase once they have your money you are never getting it back. You get what you pay for and I think soon enough you'll see what I mean. But hey, at least you'll get a free membership to the club of people Reptile Depot has screwed over with the promise of cheap feeders.

Bottom line is being cheap might help out the wallet in the the short term but quality counts if you want your animals to look their best and be healthy. Ronnie provides piece of mind and that is pretty tough to put a price tag on. I attached a pic of one of my baby Panthes. He is a little younger than 5 months old in this pic and is gigantic. Panthers don't grow to the size of a yearling that fast without the help of good nutrition. This guy was raised on Ronnie's gutload and look how he is turning out. Complaints.... no, I don't have any complaints.

Matt, you'll notice everyone else in this thread has SOMEHOW tied it into the subject, Reptilefood.com. Maybe you missed that part.

I understand you're a big fan of this cricketfood.com place. So start a thread on them! All your praise is likely to never be seen if someone is looking for feedback on them, as it is in the wrong place.

As for the comments regarding reptile depot, I decided to give them a try based on another business's reference. I did not purchase any membership - they have a free trial on their web site. I'll be sure to post my comments as soon as I recieve my insects from them (in a thread about reptile depot).

When I have a problem I get no response at all

I've had similar problems with reptilefood.com. I found success by sending an email to every address listed on the web site. Finally, someone got back to me.

It was a little disappointing that they do not even list a phone number on their web site - but you'll find quickly that there is no one at reptilefood.com to tell you about insects. Everything they sell is drop shipped from Timberline.

They shipped out the same order to me 4 times before getting it right... And it wasn't even their fault. FEDEX is the company that left crickets on my doorstep in the sun 3 times in a row, even though the box was marked "hold for pickup".

Bottom line when it comes to gutloads and such Ronnie of cricktfood.com is the best.

My apologies Matt, I just realized the company you are referring to does not even sell feeder insects. I was thinking you were recommending a different insect company.
