• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yes, it is...Here is an e-mail I just received through my web site from him...

Hello,

I've just launched a new reptile site and it's already becoming very
popular. You should signup while it's still new so you can take advantage of
choosing a name you really want. Plus, for now, all it takes to be featured
is putting effort into creating your profile and contributing a little bit
(uploading photos, videos, blogs, forums, etc. [not necessarily all]).

P.S. I'm currently working on drastically improving the classifieds (easier
to add photos, navigate, etc.), but they're 100% free!

Check it out!

Robert, making a BOI post about your own web site and e-mailing people through their web sites soliciting for their membership isn't the smoothest think to do.

Boy you reptile folks are a tough crowd... try to do something good for the community by offering a cool new site and I get ridiculed. LOL

That's OK, reptilegeeks is here to stay. If you take the time to check it out, I'm sure you'd like it.

BTW, I've spoken with Rich and have setup PAID advertising on both FaunaClassifieds.com and Cornsnakes.com

If you expect others to respect your site and rules you must first respect other sites rules. There is a forum site up here that Rich allows people to post about their sites. Not one person here would have been upset about you posting there. AND you may have got some great members from here. I also run a well known site. But I would NEVER go onto another persons site to advertise and break their rules. NEVER.

Next time take the time to read the rules and you may get more respect. all of us with sites are tring to do something good for this hobby you are not the only one. But rules are in place for a reason.

I agree Gary, I should've taken the time to read the terms, etc. and I apologize.

I apologize to everyone for posting this topic in the wrong place.
