    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, after quite some time we Chameleon people have something exciting to expect in an issue of Reptiles Magazine. The current issue is a "how to" on Panther Chameleons written by some friends and partners of mine Jim Flaherty and Dr. Ivan Alfonso who are the most knowledgable people - aside from Ardi Abate - with Chameleons, Panthers in particular, anywhere. Bill Love also lent a huge hand in making the article happen and is entitled to a large part of the credit as well. The passion these three had for this project really paid off big time with great photos and husbandry info. The article also covers some "taboo issues" in husbandry that challenges commonly accepted ideas about caging techniques and animal housing if done properly - definitely good for a discussion! The best Chameleon related article Reptiles has done so far plus a special bonus of putting the "Big Man" Anubis on the cover!!! Pick up a copy if you can, a very good read. :spinner03

I was pretty happy when I saw the issue and saw Anubis on the cover. Until the last minute we didn't know if they were going to pick him for the cover but deep down I knew Reptiles Magazine wouldn't put anything but the best on their covers and they certainly confirmed my feeling.

For those who may see this thread, and also have a chance to view the article, I am sure that Reptiles Magazine appreciates the support. FYI, the original version of the article was over 7200 words, and I thought it abbreviated a few things. But Reptiles was adamant that it stay under 3000, and is trying to get all articles under 2000 words in 2006. They know their market, but it did compel us to produce a piece that we thought was "light" in a few areas. It was that or nothing, which made it an easy solution. I would encourage all who have an interest and are seeking more information to go to my website (see below), or those of other reputable breeders, and get as much input as possible. I do applaud Reptiles for going with our recommendation for the cover. Anubis was a WC Ambilobe, and quite a gem.

Hey, very cool guys.

Better find a way to buy it over the net.

hey jim, you site is pretty new, is it not?

AWESOME!!!! Best read in REPTILES to date, and the pictures are breath taking! Nice to finally see some chameleon content within the pages. Great job!!!!

AND, if they think I am gonna use the coupons on the back side of the cover, well...... they are up in the night!!
