In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I saw this product and I really liked it in terms of how everything is built in like thermostats. Has anyone had experience with this unit? I found some for a reall good price but i am not sure if it will hold a lot of eggs. Anyone with experience with this model please fill me in.

well why havnt you used it? I would be breeding dragons and ball pythons. They say it holds 100+leopard gecko eggs. dragon eggs arent much bigger than that

because it seems as though everytime i get something to breeding size... i trade up for something else. hah. i'd be using it for balls as well. it has one shelf with it... which can hold like a 6x6 tub.... you might be able to get 2 more if you stack them... obviously you're not going to want to sit anything on the little water tray.

You can get the same incubator for $99 here.

I bought mine there and I love it. The picture on the site is of the old model, the one they will send you is the exact same thing as the "Reptipro". I use it for gecko eggs, and it's great. You can't fit a 6 qt Sterilite tub in it but if you can find smaller containers it works. I use Chinese food containers, lol.

I have two of them that I bought on thinkgeek.com. The Reptipro, the LLL, and the think geek versions all come from the same place. They come from a wholesaler called Princess International. Reptipro and LLL just put their sticker on it. If you use deli cups you can stack a good amount of bearded dragon eggs in there. It is way too small for ball python eggs. One clutch would be a very tight fit.

Yep, the wholesale site can be found here...

and here is the item on their site.

You could fit probably 2 ball clutches in it, if you used square containers that fit. But if you can't find those (I found a good size at Wal-Mart) you'll have trouble.

Oh i just saw u mentioned the pix being of the old model. How does it work for u

Yea :) I even emailed them before I ordered it, they said the one in the pic was the right one but it isn't. They need to update the site, lol. It is great though, I'd highly recommend it other than the size. I emailed the original company telling them they should come out with one twice as big, but who knows if they'll ever do that.

Well, it's a mini-fridge/warmer for your car or truck, or office--it's not an incubator. lol A larger one defeats the purpose of a 'mini-fridge'.

I understand they work fine, but looks like ZooMed just came out with something better for the same price. Unless you really need the cooling function and the car cigarette lighter adapter.

Yea, for gecko eggs you need the cooling operation. Atleast Rhacodactylus, lol. The Zoomed looks like it would be good too if you don't need it for cooling.

Nothing wrong at all--the tradoff is that the ZooMed has a hygrometer built in, and a water reservoir. It just depends on what you're incubating. I understand the ZooMed is a bit larger and taller than a HovaBator, but around that size. I'm going to be picking one up soon, and see. I can put 2 ball clutches in that. I'm getting a bit put off the idea of using one large incubator for eggs...too much room for disaster if something goes wrong. If I have a failure in a small incubator, I only lose a couple of clutches--in a big one, I could lose everything. I was thinking about using the incubators mentioned in this thread (but buying the $99 ones), until ZooMed came out with theirs.

You are talking about the ZOO MED REPTIBATOR DIGITAL EGG INCUBATOR? I guess its great sense it tells you the humidity and everything, I liked the whole mini fridge idea but the purpose for me really is high hatch rate. Let me know if you get it and how it works for you I'll need an incubator by like June and would really want more info on this Zoo Med product and if its work it

I notice the price on LLL is lower than it was before. Maybe they're getting impression people don't like to pay $60 more for something repackaged for a different purpose. lol
