• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy ReptMart

Well, the BOI doesn't govern on simple opinions. Evidence and "proof" is required to back up your statements and allegations. Fortunately, everyone is seeing through your muddled and unintelligible posts with no solid evidence to back up your statements. There is no need to continue this thread IMO, and there is no reason to say that this company is a "bad guy" whatsoever. Good luck Steven...

Did he really say someone is editing his comments? Lol no sir, either you can't spell or your auto correct is changing your words like mine does to me sometimes

Steven,

Did a brief search, came right up with this interesting post showing you in another dispute where it looks like you got an extra 1,000 bugs. Given your vague complaints here I wonder how valid your complaint there was.

And the 'banned' under your username in the screenshot, does that apply to you?.

Please forgive my lack of experience with screenshots, I see that the print is very small. :(

I don't see a dispute? I only see him bragging about getting an extra 1000, and a happy post about a leopard gecko? But then posts this making them a bad guy when he's happy with everything else other than the price of a leo?

Here a screenshot from the dispute thread (the dispute and resolution threads are separate)with Steve refusing to post any facts backing up his claim that the mealworm shipment he disputed was actually underweight as he claimed.

He was banned for swearing at and antagonizing the mods on geckoforums. Many members reported him for his behavior to them, too. I think I may have been the one to ban him (with the wishes and approval of the owner). It's very obvious that he can't conduct himself well on forums and this behavior does not surprise me at all.

Any seller can price animals any way they want. Adult leopard geckos are more expensive than babies. I sell normal babies for around $20, so pricing an adult would be up from there. If you don't like someone's prices, you move on to someone else. Making a bad guy post because of the prices is just silly. I know you're not a breeder, but you obviously buy geckos, so you know that prices vary greatly by breeder.

This is fascinating in an awful, curious sort of way. I have rarely seen a human being so convinced they're communicating something be so utterly incoherent. One can only hope you put more effort into your animals. I join the chorus in saying I have no idea what in universe you're even trying to say with this thread.

Maybe you should try proofreading, rather than blaming the site.

Harald are you denying that you've been googleing and altering his words??? He does make a pretty convincing case, specifically the googleing part.

Again my posts are being edited by some computer creep googleing and altering my post. Bye Bye

I don't know if anyone else has done so, but I went ahead and contacted ReptMart through their site and sent them a link to this thread.
ReptMart sounds like a good company, and I want to say to them here that at least for me, the ravings of the OP are so far afield that his opinion would not sway me at all. I reiterate that in my opinion the only value to this thread is to warn people away from Steven Parrin.

the only useful info you'll get out of this entire thread is simply do not do business with the OP that's the real bottom line there's a place for your rants even on this site the BOI however isn't the place for this pettiness

:shrug01:Why should the seller have the right to decide how much they can charge? What nerve! They get to have all the fun caring for it feeding, housing, in some cases hatching em. Why should they get to price them instead of the buyers? Hahahahahahahaha oh yeah maybe because they are the ones who do all the work and in the case of RM I've never done biz with them but have seen more good than bad reviews. I've seen their ads and considered them and I probably will talk to them some time. This thread has done nothing to change that other than seeing that this bad guy thread has alotta ppl who support them even though they are just a gecko factory with the audacity to price their own animals. In fact they do such a terrible job that the OP will probably buy from them again. Please don't google my post and change the spellings!

I would encourage everyone reading this thread to go to their website and click on the link to photos of their facility in the upper right corner. It is truly a World class reptile breeding facility. I think the name leads people to believe that Reptmart is a pet store or reptile reseller. They breed the vast majority of everything they sell.
Here's a photo from their website of some of their outside enclosures just to give you a small glimpse in to the size of the operation that the Bell's have built. I would pay admission to tour their facility.
