In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I found a listing for a lizard that I'm looking for on a website and i was wondering if anybody has had any experience with REPXOTICA .

Thanks,
Brandon Grieson

If its a store based in islip ny, I've visited it a few times as its local. The owner is a nice guy, and knows his stuff when it comes to chams, lacertids and dragons. Prices are a little higher than avg, but it's a speciality shop, so that's expected. Overall I feel you shouldn't have any issues with a purchase from them.

I recently went there and was impressed with the cleanliness and overall appearance of the animals. I would feel comfortable getting anything from there. Prices are a bit high.

great people and great store
have been in the store alot and always clean
animals are always cared for and look great would never hesitate to do business with them
if you ever have any questions just ask them they have worlds of knowledge

Thanks everybody for the replies! :) If i end up purchasing from them i'll make sure to post about my experience.

Thanks,
Brandon Grieson

I have been there a few times ,, Its run and worked by the owners which is a big plus . They keep the store imaculate and they seem to have great stock .. It's hands down one of the cleanest best kept reptile stores i have ever been in .. There frilled dragon is bad ass !!!!

I have to agree with mt doom. The store is spotless. They are always super nice and if they cant give you a answer on a question the will find it out rather than just pretending they no it.

Been there Great Store and Great Guy! Talked to him for forever when I was there lol!
Knows his stuff and had some great animals. I bought from him and would do it again in a heart beat!

Great store!!

Well, where do I start! First I would like to say is I love to see people who are so passionate about what they do. I love knowing that ALOT of their animals are Captive Bred by THEM!! In a retail setting that is really not the norm. The animals that they get from other breeders are hand picked for their upmost health and for being the best of that species!! The store is so clean and very well kept. That is REALLY nice to see!! My son and I are in the store atleast 3-4 times a week as we live in the area!! I give Bob and Tina a huge thumbs up!! Great JOB!!!!

Ken Siffert:thumbsup:

Repxotica is without doubt the highest quality retail store I've ever been in. The cage are beautifully set up and spotless naturalistic enclosures. They have an amazing amount of breeding activity in their cages for a retailer (heck, for anyone) - testimony to the quality and care they give their animals.

I drive 30 miles out of my way to support their store with my business. It's exactly what I want from a retail shop.

Excellent shop! For those of you in the beginning who said that the prices were a bit high... May I ask where you have been shopping?! I hope not DNJ, and if so, then apparently you don't know the definition because that place knows how to take dirtiness and overpriced to the limit!! Anytime I visit NY or just want to look at a cool website, I go to REPXOTICA:)

I get all of my feeders at Repxotica. It's about a half hour's drive from where I am but I consider it well worth it. Much better quality rats and mice (in the size I need) than the more local 'big box' stores. The store has a lot of stuff in a small space, but it's never seemed dirty at all - just 'busy'. :)

I've also bought a ball python from them. They seemed very knowledgeable about their stock and were able to tell me all about her feeding history and whatnot, which I appreciated.

I have been buying a bunch of stuff from Repxotica for the past month or 2 and I can honestly say that their stuff is just superb. Ridiculously clean store and very knowledgeable staff. Bob and his wife have been extremely kind to me and I will absolutely buy more from them in the very near future. Picked up a Pied, Albino, Cinnamon, Mojave, Pastel (may actually be something much better then a Pastel), Enchi and all ate doing incredible. Even put a deposit down on a pair of Russo Balls tonight. These guys have some amazing animals and the prices are awesome. Super nice and helpful too. I'm gonna be a long time buyer there for sure.

I agree with the above posts! REPXOTICA is about a half hour from where I live as well and I don't hesitate taking that ride to get some rodents or even just go periodically to check out any new additions! Living here on Long Island, you're pretty much given a small handful of options(not including stores like pet-co/smart whatever, they'd be Jungle Bobs, DNJ Reptiles and Repxotica. One of the first two has been going down hill or as many would consider staying at the bottom of the hill for the past couple of years, very dirty, smelly, often you'll see a sick reptile for sale, the other is just too far for anyone on the north shore or in nassau like I am to travel to in the first place. Not to mention their staff is very young, inexperienced and has a lack of knowledge in many of the very reptiles they have to sell. Most are WC may I also add regardless of what it says. As for repxotica, owner Bob knows his stuff, very down to earth guy, no phony garbage. The store is very much in order, neat and smells good too! Repxotica should be considered the measuring stick for all of these other wannabe reptile shops in the LI/New York areas...
