Yellow Bearded Dragon named "Mooloolaba"
She is 4.5 months old and trying to find her place in today's world. For some reason, Mooloo is very, very shy. I think she may have some sort of social disorder that is affecting her personality. When I acquired her, she immediately showed trouble signs. She ate well, but would hide under anything she could find...
Since then, she has gone through various phases. Sometimes very active, sometimes not. She needs a caretaker that can really spend some time analyzing her behavior and giving her the proper care she deserves.
I have TWO theories about what may be causing the trouble:
1) She HATES glass cages. For some reason, she appears to be more active while in a plastic bin as opposed to a see-through glass cage. I think she feels more comfortable. Perhaps placing her in a large plastic bin with little exposure to the outside world may work.. and then gradually spending time with her and then taking her out of her cage....
2) She was born on April Fools day! Maybe she thinks she is a joke. It would obviously explain her behavior. She acts like she is the unluckiest dragon on the face of the earth. I've tried to tell her that she isn't a joke and that April Fools day isn't a serious holiday, but she doesn't care what I say....or she can't hear me because she is hiding under her food dish.
I bought her for 160 shipped but I will part with her for 100 shipped. I just don't have the time to spend with her right now because of my work and I feel she really needs a good friend who can observe her behavior.
She is yellow x yellow and is very pretty when fired up, but she NEVER fires up! I have seen her fire up only 2-3 times and she displays a nice yellow head and vibrant yellow markings throughout her body. Most of the time, she is normal looking with a yellow tint.
She eats greens, waxworms and crickets and has been steadily gaining weight.
She is 11.25 inches and 58 grams.
Thanks.
