    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

We picked up a ball who is really thin we got her from a middle person who said the person who had her had gotten her on line and they told them that she was eating and then she was just eating live, but he couldn't get her to eat for him, any suggestions on how to handle since I really don't know her history, we have her in the right temp with a couple of hides and are leaving her alone, she is pretty thin I may post a picture later I just don't want to disturb her right now. The people were just going to release her which would have definitely been her demise. The middle person called us and asked us to take her, so any helpful suggestions would be great I have read several older post and are doing most of what they said to do, but not knowing her history as accurately as I would like too would like advice. thanks so much

Just keep trying to feed her, and take her to a Vet ASAP. See what the Vet says, then go from there. Do not try and force feed until you know how for sure though, because it is a dangerous buisness if you don't. Good luck!

I agree, but if she defecates make sure to refrigerate it (the poop) and take it to the vet with you. She might have internal parasites and the vet should probably do a fecal to check. Good luck with her!

We didn't know we were going to get her until last night so we are going to take her to the vet today(opens at 9:00), he's pretty good about getting us in there asap. Right she is in her container which the temps are right with two hides and water, She will be left alone except to check water and then take her to the vet. She is really really small she may not make it but I have hopes that we can get her to eating. I will try everything first.

update

WE took her to the vet yesterday, there was no disease or parasites, so we are going to leave her alone for a week and try to feed her. She is really a sweet snake, I pray that she either eats or if she isn't going to make it that she goes quickly I would hate for her to linger as thin as she is, she is only a baby. I will get her weight and post it later (left it in the car and I have a lot I do at church) I do have a hope we can get her to eat.

Did the vet recommend force feeding? What did he say about her overall health and chances for survival?

He said that we should try to keep her quiet and in the dark , to offer her food , if she doesn't take it we can force feed ( which I have no idea how I should do that), he suggested bringing her back in a two weeks if she is not eating. Her chance is 50/50 right now is what he said. ( I also can take her in to him to feed her but he said we should learn to do it in case this is going to last a few weeks), He doesn't want us to do live, because he said the hopper could probably kill her. So any suggestions is still great appreciated.
