    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My name is Alysa Morley. I recently bought a ball python off of Rev. Richard L. Dubbs Jr. also known as "preacher" here on Fauna. I am pleased with this transaction.
I inquired about the ad he had posted by email, and he replied very promptly, and included his phone number. I find that most people prefer to communicate over email, and talking to him on the phone made all the difference in the world. He told me detailed information about every snake in the ad, and even about ones not included in the ad. He spoke in a very warm manner, and was glad to answer any question I threw at him. I bought one of the ball pythons in the ad later that evening, after a couple more phone calls. He also sent me several emails throughout this transaction, and included pictures of the animal.
The hurricane delayed shipment by several days, but he continued to communicate with me by phone and email the whole time. He really kept me posted on what was going on. He was also happy to hold off shipping the snake to ensure her safety until the hurricane had passed. I could tell he truly cared about her health and safety.
The snake finally arrived Tuesday, and I was very pleased. She was a bit cold due to the weather here in Indiana, but not bad at all. When I got her out of her box, she was alert and very friendly. She began to crawl around and flick her tongue right away. She looked even bigger and better than she had in the pictures, and her personality was just as he had described. I have had her three days and so far I have not had any problems with her and she seems to be adjusting well to her new environment.
There are too many good things about this transaction to discuss them all. Great communication, a trustworthy and honest seller, and a healthy, beautiful animal are a few of the things that stand out to me the most.
I am very pleased with my new snake, and I would not hesitate to buy another animal from Rev. Richard L. Dubbs Jr. in the future.
