oh yes, and the "EVERYONE" comments.... you can stop those too. I'm not trying to be mean here, but the general concencus is the same. And its not in your favor.

Like the "insulting everyones intelligence" comment, EVERYONE is not finding any of these comments as an insult to their intelligence. if anyone is finding it an insult to their intelligence, its you. Therefore the correct terminology would be "MY", not everyone. if they did, im sure they would voice it themselves rather than have you do it for them. hopefully you're getting the gist of this.

If it were EVERYONE, we would be flooded with people here agreeing with you in these types of threads, unfortunately I have not seen a one.

Again, Im glad we can talk civily, I hope you can move past these matters, drop a bit of the paranoia, and move onto your goal of becoming a "good guy" and crawl up from that bad rep you took on in your earlier posts here... ttyl

"paying" for a good guy post is like paying for sex. sure, you get laid, but whats that prove? Nothing, only that you HAVE TO PAY FOR IT! if you were a REAL good guy you would not need to ask people to post on your behalf, you would not need to force people to do it.

Dennis, you are still not getting it. You are ignoring a common sense view of what you are doing and, like many of your detractors, choosing to play a "lawyered up" argument. Anyone with common sense can see through all of these lawyered up arguments, and they are insulting to everyone's intelligence. (And not just yours, ALL of them.)

Anyway, you asked if giving something away makes you a good guy. IMO the question is not that simple.

If I spend 2,000 hours a year in the office working for free, because I believe in what that company is doing, and want to make a company succeed, that would make me a good guy.

If I spend 2,000 hours a year in the office working, and I do it because I expect a paycheck for doing so, it does not make me a good guy... it makes me an employee.

By the same token, if you are giving away free stuff because you think the end result is that it will earn you a reputation as a good guy, that disqualifies the action as "good."

Good actions are things that one does for the sake of good, not because they think they will get a reward for it.

Yes, good people will do good things for rewards. But bad people will do good things for rewards, too. This is not an adequate way to delineate between good and bad. :scatter:

Wow...I go away for awhile and find this! I truly can't even begin to understand how you can say something over and over again (stalking comments and the like) and then not remember ever saying them.

Seeing as you seem to be almost listening to Chris, go back and re-read what he has to say. He's got some very important points that he's trying to get you to understand, and it doesn't look like you get them fully.

As many others have said here ... It could be ANYONE saying "I'll give you this ONLY if you give me a GG post". It's plain ol' poor tastes, and wrong in my books. I think you understand this - and have always understood this - but I think you like to rattle the cage and then play innocent. It gets dreadfully old. If I have you all wrong, and you really are that naive, then you REALLY need to take the blinders off and start listening to people. Not everyone is out to get you (in fact, very few if any).

Just as you can't buy your way into heaven, you can't (or at least shouldn't) buy yourself a GG post. You have to earn both. Actions speak louder than words ... I, for one, would like to see some more action. I won't ever do business with you for reasons you already know, but if you show yourself to be a decent business man I won't (and don't) really care if you do business with others - that is their choice.

PS - It was rather humorous to see you trying to help Chris with his business. An interesting gesture, but I'm pretty sure Chris has got the business part down.

The “slanted view” you speak of was caused by your statements and your statements alone. You made your bed and now you don’t want to lay in it. The big picture is you have been known to make bigoted remarks and for trolling threads and now for some reason you want to clean up your act. Good luck and good for you, but making stipulations and saying someone “must” give you a Good Guy thread was ludicrous. If you were a Good Guy then why would you have to ask for one? Whose acceptance are you looking for?

Its a good quality to stand up for what you beleive in
But its a bad quality to dwell in the past and to harbor resentment

This is the one that that i get the most support for
When Good people who have paid for this forum are afraid to post here knowing they will be attacked/Harassed for doing so ie Baiting,twisting,quotes out of context,bringing their family and freinds into the mix, and of Someone trying to get the forum to beleive they are a bad person ,I am sure i left out a couple of things but i think you got the jist of it
