In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Rhonda Alsa aka red.dragon.frog Terrible person Never do buisness with this person

An overnight shipment was made through FedEx to the address that shipped out Wednesday and arrived on Thursday the same week the AFTs were shipped.

This may be, but in the emails posted in this thread; you chose the shipping method that was used.

I've worked with the USPS before, specifically the priority and express part of it. When a package is weighed and it shows a significantly different weight, they have to print a new label and affix it over top of the old. A four pound difference would have been enough. Also, for around ten years now, priority and express packages that can't be delivered on time via ground methods, are flown via Fed-Ex (mainly) DHL (occasionally), and your standard passenger airline (Northwest used to be preferred). I've packed and transported these aircraft containers folks... DON'T SHIP ANIMALS THROUGH THE POST OFFICE...EVER! I am amazed that they survived. The main point is, even though you chose USPS, Fed-Ex is most likely the ones that carried the package. Jeromy, is there another label on that package anywhere?

Look rhonda the day i took the package they looked up ups and usps to get overnight to your sons and they said it was not offered so then i emailed you and your words were ive had geckos shipped 2 day before they will be ok. i have no lies building up at all. your right i was mad like you couldn't believe when i opened the empty package at the post office where there were a line of people what in the world would they have done for me rhonda. NOTHING! they would have givin me a number as the lady on the phone did all express mail claims are done through customer affairs so that where i stand now. i promise you rhonda that your going to be proved wrong, those geckos were eating fine and idk why you wont take a picture of the other one and post it cause she was very large stop calling out lies when you have yet to follow through with the complete list of things you said you were going to do. IE-opening video, pictures of both geckos and sexing of both geckos. You shipped a empty box and its going to be proven on monday through the insurance claim.

Desertrat- no there is not any other markings on the box or labels i opened the box from the bottom to assure that i wouldnt tear the label just in case cause when she handed me the box it felt like it was full of air and boy was i wrong it was full of another box that was full of air this woman is a lying she missed one little step in her process and she woulda been off scott free, why the heck would i lie about this i want the monsoon i could care less about getting anything else i dont need anything else out of this.

So like i said there will be a investigation of said product im sure. im positive they wont just hand over insurance claim money with out looking into it. Rhonda this is where you make other misleading comments and bring up my past that im not even charged with and that ive lied so many times .

Personally, I think she's lying. :shrug01: She knew the weight (it's on the box) of the box, but why would she put 5.lb on an empty box and pay more? Rationality and Logic would have her placing at least the exact weight of the box to be shipped. Her posts don't show her stupid enough, or absent-minded enough NOT to simply look at the box for the weight... if the box was not empty, there was no reason to "guess" or let USPS catch the exact weight later.

Further, there is not enough evidence in those pictures to even show that those are the correct animals, and this is NOT a bone of contention since the OP is willing to accept them back if they are incorrect.

The ONLY thing that needs to be proved is that she did NOT ship an empty box/Jerome did not receive an empty box. Which, by her postings she doesn't appear to be stupid, so it would make no sense if she was shipping the full box, not to put that weight that was noted on the box on the shipping label created.

Right on the first page of the "Pick up Scheduler" (she scheduled a pick up first), there's a place to put the "estimated" weight of the box...why would she put ONE lb when she had the box right there with her and it was not empty?

Her excuses do not ring true, to me.:ack2:

Darn! I should have refreshed before correcting myself about needing to prove her identity.

I don't know the weight on the other AFT, but the 23 grams or 26 grams mentioned by Rhonda is not a breeding weight. I think using that they never laid eggs as proof of what sex they were is a bad argument. They should never have been paired up to begin with at that size. That is not adult breeding weight.
One thing that seemed odd to me, its that the box was opened from the bottom. Just in case was the reason given. Wonder why he thought he was going to be scammed before he even opened the box.
I am not saying he was scammed, just what he had mentioned.
If the system was in the box it will be proven once the weight is billed out. I highly doubt the post office is going to not charge for a package that was not properly paid for initially.

I was posting on my phone and did not see that Jeromy has posted that the box felt light and that is why he opened from the bottom. I don't think that was mentioned in the beginning.
Sorry about that.

I am speaking of the upside down animals...in instances such as this...I would want the animal half over so that identification can still be made. It's easy enough to take pictures of the back of an animal and then take pictures of the underside of a different animal.

But as I suggested, this is not the bone of contention....

She's had so many excuses for every question that has been asked...but the simple thing to do (if the box wasn't empty) was to put the weight on the label.

i but all 3 geckos together after i "thought" they were properly sexed. so i thought i had 3 females. that would be why they were together and i still think they are three females im not changing my mind cause i know for a fact there were no pores and that there was only one large bulge behind each vent of each gecko. my point about eggs was after the fact that i put them together under my assumption of them being females and they have been together for a little while now. Also my assumption of sex was also due to ovulation jsut like i check my leopards. which i find weird ive never sexed any of those wrong. again here are pictures of the gecko the week before they shipped.

hmm by the looks of thsoe pictures i sure would say i properly take care of all my animals should i post a picture of my reptile room? i mean im not a person hurting for money i could go buy a monsoon system right now. at this point im just wanting her to pay for what she did and be known to everyone that this transaction happened and to watch out. im not a scam artist not at all! i could care less about getting anything extra out of this. ive purchased many many animals via internet and have had one problem and it was with feeders and it was my fault. i can admit when im wrong by far.

I still don't buy the idea that USPS is unable or unwilling to tell you the weight of that package.

I asked when i called yesterday and they told me thats why i need to call customer affairs. for some reason. so i figured why not go ahead and file the claim cause it seems nothing on Rhonda's end is gonna happen at least do what i can to get something back on this. The more i sit here and think about it, if i were truly trying to scam why would have contacted her at all about it and just claimed the insurance. Guess its a bad idea now-a-days to do things the correct and adult way.

This. I personally find that unbelievable. I would be livid as a customer if I had no access to what I was going to pay! It will be interesting to see what comes of the claim.

Jeromy, what does your claim claim?

The only way I see the PO being of any help at all is if they have the weight recorded at 5+ pounds at some point in the journey. Personally, as do many others, I have my doubts that will happen.

The more likely scenario (IMHO) is that the PO has the weight recorded as 1 pound because that WAS the weight of the package. If that is the case, she labeled it 1 pound, it was 1 pound, what's the PO going to do?

I think she's stalling, and will fall back on the 'I can't believe they never weighed my package. Either you are lying or it was stolen by somebody en route. Poor me, I hate the BOI, etc., etc.'

I hope I am wrong....

When i spoke to PO on the phone they told me to start a claim no matter what. There are options when you start one online and i choose items are missing in the package. Now i have hopes that it will make them back track the weights cause i know im going to get a phone call about it and im gonna tell them what happened and forward any and all info to them and im positive they will tell me the next step in my adventure.

Thank you i hope so as well, i truly do hope in this case it does lead to investigative actions cause i truly want a person that does things like this off the board and out of the tight nit reptile community .
