In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a retic with a respiratory infection. I have been to a vet and he prescribed Fortaz injections. He charges so much per injection and mentioned that my rep needs a series of at least 10 injections. I have searched over the web and have read other posts about otc bacterial meds and was wondering if anyone knows where and what kinds of meds that can be administered without a prescription. So far, the ones that I have found are Tylan 200 (a guy used it on his boas RI, but didnt say dosage) (found it otc thru valleyvet.com), Baytril (but couldnt find a website to order without a prescription), and ADEC Liquid (found on allbirdproducts.com). Also, if anyone knows a better forum for this to be posted in, please advise.

Okay, I found Baytril available otc on allbirdproducts.com and I have a friend who personally used it to treat one of his snakes. Has anyone else ever heard of this procedure and dosage?

The type of Baytril you need is a prescribed medicine. There is no OTC. To purchase the type of baytril you need without a vet's prescription is illegal. You would likely end up killing your animal using the wrong medicine purchased from who knows who off the net.

You need to let your vet do his job. If its so bad to where you can't cure threw a temp fix, then let your vet do his job. I don't recomend doing injections yourself.

The vet gives me fortaz as injections and has me inject him so i am used to doing it. I was just wondering if there was a cheaper version of the antibiotic?
