    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Chris, you must have posted that just to hear your own self speak. Having worked for UPS, I know exactly how boxes are just thrown around and treated, so my "speculation" as you call it, is based on first hand knowledge. I've also seen a grown man refuse to sort a package because he thought something inside of it chirped. And the bleeding can easily be attributed to the abrasivness of the box as it was to small for a snake that size, and I know for a fact the snake was pushing and moving around in it.. As I stated in my post, I have seen my very own snakes, that I hatched, bang their noses up worst than that in a 6 hour period. So please, the next time you make a stupid post like that one, think before you type.

When it comes to the safety of my animals, to hell with some federal law. Placing labels like those on the outside of the box is making it a target for mishandling. Not everyone in this world likes "live harmless wildlife/reptile" around them. And having witness this happen with my own 2 eyes, I would NEVER do it. Let's say you paid $2,000 for a snake. The seller puts all those labels that federal law "requires" on it. Your package arrives at the hub, and just before the guy puts it on the truck to go out, he reads the box, and now doesn't want to touch it because of what could be inside. Now your snake is held up at the hub because nobody wants to touch it. Because of this hold up, you snake has now died. Would you be asking the federal government for a refund.......

If you actually witnessed boxes being "just thrown around", and they were labeled indicating there was any sort of animal in it, I'm confident that you would have reported this abuse and personally reprimanded the handler properly, yes? After all, you have "first hand knowledge", so it must be true. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure that person(s) was fired. I agree with your assumption regarding the nose bleed, thus my earlier statement regarding stress of the snake. But you knew that, having read this thread in it's entirety, yes? Also, I would love to obtain this new morph of "chirping" snake. Sounds like a money maker. Thank you for further adding to the validity of the OPs initial post with your statement...", I know exactly how boxes are just thrown around and treated". I thought before I posted. Perhaps you should have practiced what you preach.

You can use any lame rationalization you want to justify breaking a law that many here take seriously. If that oddball, 1-in-10,000 scenario is enough to make you condone ignoring a federal regulation..well, thanks for putting that up here in black and white for all to see and judge you by.

The possibility of a DOA is one of the costs of doing online business involving the shipping of live animals. As a seller, if you're not prepared to eat the cost of a DOA if/when a shipping acciden occurs, you have no business selling online. It's not only your responsibility to do right by your customer, but some would say you have some degree of an obligation to not :censored: it up for everyone else by stepping up to be counted among those who choose to not follow the mandated guidelines.

I'm not interested in the pissing match that you're so clearly trolling for. But. oh, sweet irony..

You didn't seem to care about the animals being thrown around by your work mates. Safety of animals? Nobody want's to touch it? Melodramatics??? Please.

Wow, you are as bright as a cigarette lighter in the vastness of space. Where in my whole post did you see me say anything about boxes with live animals being thrown around , and a chirping snake. I knew there were some dummies I'm PA, but never this dumb

Enough of the personal bickering. This thread is about a specific transaction, keep posts on that topic.
If you want to debate shipping methods or the Lacey Act legalities, take it to the shipping forum, there's already a few threads there discussing it.
If you just want to argue with each other, take it to PM.

Actually Clay, considering the puerile posts made by my new found buddy, I have shown alot of restraint given my history. I do think that my posts directly related to and defended the OPs point of view to an extent. I didn't see my posts as bickering and feel that if someone is going to make accusations like that, they should back them up as most people here are needled to death to comply. On the other hand, the antagonist who tried to get me to flame with him ("hear my own self speak, stupid post, dummies in Pa.") was futile. I do apologize for the "melodrmatics" statement which is the only admittedly condescending remark I made. I've made progress here, but still have some work to do. I respectfully diagree with his statements and will leave it at that.

You may have been making progress, but you apparently still have that need to get the last word. Clay's message didn't require a posted response; and one trying to justify your posts while taking additional jabs at another member wasn't a good choice.
