• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry Richmond Constrictors

I purchased a hatchling female Dumeril's Boa from him, I believe it was in 2006. He had them at a really good price and lives about 2 hours from me, so I contacted him. I picked her up in person, and still kick myself for not checking her over better than I did. At the time she looked good externally so I took her. On the way home I noticed she was making a raspy sound when she breathed (no snot bubbles or open mouth) When I picked her up we met at a gas station next to a highway, so maybe that's why I didn't pick up on the noise she made. When I got home I emailed him to let him know that I thought she had a URI. He told me that she seemed fine that morning, and to up the temps in her enclosure a bit and it would go away. I called our vet on Monday to have her looked at. She was supposed to go in the next morning, but wound up dying that night. I emailed him that day, and again a week later to let him know that she had died, and never heard back. I should have pushed the issue harder, but at the time I just chalked it up to lesson learned.
