    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Rick Cremeans of Lancaster, OH-BAD, BAD, BAD!

I did not pack up the green water snake that dead in shipping a worker of my did that and i got a new person now.
Yeah, okay. Would that have been the same "worker" that was feeding your animals and left the lid off so that Kris Stroup's bull snakes conveniently escaped? Or the same "worker" that sent a turtle missing a foot to Paul? (duh - gee, Paul, they all look alike)

Me either. That's the nature of scum, though. The funny part is, they're generally so stupid they forget what they already said or wrote so they usually just expose themselves trying to cover their lies with more lies.
Then they get all confused and frustrated and mad when their lies are so idiotic and just not convincing. That's the part I like - it's good for a chuckle, ya know? All that frustration, the lashing out, the phony indignation because the liar is exposed ... good stuff.
 
I just had to come back to this thread to see if it was really true, that mr. Cremeans created an account, posted one garbled half blame shifting, half forum dissing statement and left.

I am so sorry about what you and that poor snake had to go through. I can't believe that D-bag came on here and said, my worker did it not me.
Its amazing how some people act.

Just an update -- I have not heard back from Rick since he promised to send a money order a week ago. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point, but I will keep the BOI and the postal inspector posted if he responds to my email or an MO shows up in the mail.

Kris, unfortunately the USPS will probably not do a damn thing. Even though it is *supposed* to be their jurisdiction if you have sent a US postal money order, because it is legally considered to be mail fraud -- all they're likely to do is send you a brochure on avoiding scams on the Internet. (Speaking from experience here ...)

I would strongly advise that you call the police dept. in his area and tell them you've been scammed, and that he has stolen your money. That's theft, and that's likely to be taken a bit more seriously.

To the OP, who was sent a rotting, dead snake -- I am so sorry, I can't imagine how AWFUL it must have felt to open up that box.

Evil, awful :censored: abound in every industry -- it's just that when they pop up in the live animal trade, the situation goes from maddening to depressing ... :(
 
That poor poor snake. I don't want to think how the poor turtle lost it's foot. This guy take the cake of bad guy's. I can't believe he got such a large snake in such a small box. There is a special place down below for him!!! I hope you get your money back!!! The rest of my reply was edited because I don't want to get kicked off the forum..........
 
I have been shipping and receiving reptiles for 10 years easily and have never seen something so horrific. I am not a crying type girl but here I sit at my desk the tears streaming after reading and seeing what's happened. Oh my word what that poor baby went through. I'm truly sorry for you all on your loss(es) on many fronts!

Rick, if you happen to read this. I hope and pray that everyday from this moment forward is nothing but pain and heartache for you. Even then you will not have suffered even close to as much as that poor snake did when she was cooked alive. :angry:

And it's not just that snake, either. I met her previous owner, a guy who now lives in South Carolina, when I went to pick up some other Water Snakes from him and a friend of his near Charleston. This was right after I'd sent the money order to Ohio. The guy told me that this snake was very gravid and should have been due to give birth very soon, so that meant her babies would have been cooked alive along with her. I lost them as well. This snake was reportedly very tame, also, as well as being a really huge and impressive specimen. What are the chances of being able to obtain another female, let alone a gravid female, Green Water Snake of that size that is puppy-dog tame, and a long-term captive? I don't often see any Nerodia offered up for sale, not adults, anyway, and especially not of this particular species.

As for yet another Ohio bad guy, I am getting very sick and tired of it. It seems like a large portions of scammers come from here giving the rest of us a bad name!
 
Thats exactly what I emailed to him I said we have had enough bad guys come out of Ohio. I told him I think it would be nice if he would get in touch with me and either let me get these people their money back. I live about 20 minutes west of Lancaster.

Rick if you still have the cahoonas to come back on here, take this into consideration:

It's YOUR business, right? Even IF it was an employee of yours, YOU are still ultimately responsible. JUST "firing" him is not enough. You have to fix the problem your employee - allegedly - created. You have not done so. Your business will fail utterly because you clearly have no concept of customer service or ethics - not to mention proper care/husbandry of the animals you keep and sell.
 
Well I emailed him yesterday and this is the reply I got at the bottom is what I sent to him:
