    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm a little confused here. My manager called me and said he found a ring neck snake in his pool. I told him I'd take it and he brought it to me. It was black and looked like a typical every day ring neck snake. I told him to watch for more because I have noticed that were there is 1, there are generally more. So few days later he comes into work with a bucket and sure enough he found another one swimming in his pool. He opened the bucket to show me and WOW there were 11 extra snakes in the bucket! The female snake gave birth to Live young. Ring neck snakes lay eggs according to all records I can find online? Now this new female is also a rusty red color-but her offspring rang from the typical black with a golden band to her rusty color! I have attached a few photos of the adults and of 2 of the babies. sadly 2 of the babies were still born but the remaining 9 are active and have already pooped and I through some pin head crickets in with them but haven't seen any of them eat yet. The adult female seem very placid and I put a bunch of crickets in the adults tank last night and awoke to find them all gone-but it may have been the black ring neck who ate them.
Am I wrong about the ID of the female? She is the same size as the black ring neck but she most certainly had been 1 snake when put into the bucket and a few hours later she was not alone.
I will probably be releasing the whole family in a few days-far away from swimming pools. But first I want to feed them up a little and make sure everyone is doing good.

Wow, this is a little off-topic but I don't think I've seen two posters (three including me) in one thread that live in little Hernando Co. FL.

If you all ever get out herping, shoot me a PM!

its ok it is hard to tell cuz the babies look SOO much like the adult snakes! I did end up letting them all go after a few days. The female brown snake I kept until she proved to be to good at getting lose. I was freaking out searching all over for her, looked up and she was coiled around a light! So I took her out to a nice area that had plenty of leaf litter, trees, and let her go. but she was pretty cool and way more mellow then the ring neck!
