I was at the Super Pet Expo in Raritan NJ yesterday and had the pleasure of meeting Dominic Rizzo of Rizzo's Wildlife Discovery. Dominic is a wildlife educator, with a specialization in herpetofauna.
We had the chance to see Dominic's presentation as well. Dominic is a dynamic performer with a special gift to engage and entertain an audience while educating. He had a wonderful selection of animals about which he spoke, and handled them all proficiently. He ensures the safety of the animal, as well as the safety of the crowd, in a manner respectful of both.
All of his animals were in clean, appropriate cages while on display, and all looked robust and healthy. All his performance animals were brought out of appropriate, safe containers, and exhibited the same vigor as the display animals at the expo table.
Dominic himself presents extremely well. Personable and enthusiastic, his knowledge is well complemented by his charm and presence.
Dominic and his team do various presentations for birthday parties, scouting troops, etc.
Just thought I'd let you all know about this guy who is doing a great job promoting our animals' welfare and encouraging the passion for wildlife, exotics, and the stewardship of their environment.
