    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

RJ's Exotics inquiry

My roommate just sent me this link and I've never posted on here before. I would just like to say I have made many many purchases from RJ's and have never received an unhealthy animal nor seen one for sale. I've never had a problem with their feeders either. I will continue buying from Rob and hope people will judge for themselves instead of reading accusations on a messageboard.

1 or 2 unhappy customers is one thing but Rob has screwed a lot of people over. I would hate for someone to "try" rob out and get screwed over like i did. I hope that everybody that reads thios board realizes what kind of guy and shop Rj's really is. Even teh scammers can make some people happy but that doesnt mean i would trust any of them.
 
each time i have had the to deal with rob i either got the run around or prices had changed from the time when i was on the phone with him to a half an hour later when i got to the store
nothing was consistent and the condition of the cages and snakes was appauling at times
this guy had a gold mine and f-ed it up because he was to lazy to keep track of his idiot employees .
i would simply recomend if he were to try again that he pick his employees with more care and spend more time at his store to manage them
he could have made it big but he, like an idiot he decided to screw around with his patrons and ignore the animals well being,wich were the ones who got him there in the firstplace

Rob try being a stand up guy this time around and maybe you can get out of that garage you call a store now .
 
Got an E-mail from RJs the other day... Figured I would post the contents since she addressed several people from this thread in her e-mail to me, and this should give the people a chance to address her comments. Personally, I think it is immature and low class to sling dirt about other people to someone you dont know, especially when it concerns cheating and whatnot, but thats just me.... anyways, its below..

Ok, i'll defend a bit, but you still havent said anything in person "as a man." The ball python was NERD bloodline. Kara doesn't know what she is talking about. And if Rob wasn't so close to them a few years ago than why did Kara feel the need to give hugs to my husband every time that she saw him at the expos. We were friends with Keven for a few years until a falling out. Shit happens. It's really not Kevins falt, it's the employees. I really don't need to get into that. Those Retic with chainsaw? We put a lot of money in vet bills for those retic that he wanted to sell to us. There was a personal agreement between him and Roger that was taken care of. Roger kills a lot of his animals and anything he got from us was beautiful when it left here. Since you seem to lvoe Kevin so much, ask him what he thinks of chainsaw. I'm sure he will agree with us. We've take in a lot of rescues so if you see something that doesn't look in perfect health it is probably a rescue. Chet was a personal friend that Rob used to hang out with but went the other way when he cheated on his girlfriend who was a friend of mine. What else. THe small ball python? THe albino boa. There is nothing to defend because it is a bunch of bull. People find things to complain about. I girl thought I jiped her on $5 in crickets the other day. I counted them in front of her to show her. THere was over $6 in there. This is why we don't bother defending. This is a very small amount of the public that reads this or responds to this. We are just trying to make a living off something Rob used to love.

you guys are full of it. you are switching to personal attacks as soon as anyone from RJ's tries to defend themselves. if you guys have a personal problem with Rob wust sitting in your basement why dont you stop hiding behind a keyboard and resolve it. you are just sitting online highfiving each other for spelling errors probably shirtless highfiving each other because you insulted his spelling. its unprofessional and immature, some of you are supposedly in your 30's. if you got ripped off like you say why haven't you taken legal action? there is also a risk with shipping LIVE animals and he isnt responsable for that, or for whatever you do to them when they are in your care. I have never even found a mite on anything I've recieved from Rob and I will continue to give them my business. as for posting emails to try to make them look bad. what are you a woman? where is your storefront located, in your closet? personally i think whatever credit your arguement had went out the window when you switched to personal attacks because now it looks like you just have a personal vendetta against him or are trying to hurt his business for personal reasons. not that you are upset. he said, she said is ignorant from adults.

Actually, if you notice, i haven't made any posts lately, until i decided to post the E-mail that I received saying Kara doesn't know what she is talking about and someone else cheated on his girlfriend, and someone else kills every reptile he gets his hands on... Now, we are a bunch of kids, and are making personal attacks while we sit in our basements with our... "shirts off".... Whatever that is supposed to mean.... I mean, obviously telling a stranger in an E-mail that everyone posting here is a cheater, killer, and all around don't know what they are talking about... that is the mature route... I guess you don't see where that is wrong, you just make a comment that by posting an E-mail, I am a woman.
where are the responses in the forum about the issues people have had? I see absolutely none whatsoever. Nobody from Rjs has personally addressed the issues in the forum at all. Now, that being said, there have been allot of people that are more than likely persona friends with 1 or two posts making comments here and there about how great RJ is and whatnot.. SO i will assume you are here to address the issues?
Also, you bring up about where is all the litigation... yea, it is really worth going to court and putting out all kinds of money over a few hundred bucks... OK... your comment made sense. And also, you bring up a point that "Things happen in shipping" and elude to the fact that it isn't RJ's problem.. well, sorry, but how something is shipped and what happens to it from the time it leaves his place of business till it gets to someone front door, it IS his problem. If that is how you operate, and how you conduct business, please post your business name, and show us your storefront so WE don't do business with you also.

If defending themselves is personally attacking everyone here who's had an issue with them well, thats great business resolution.
 
why hasnt rob or anyone from Rj's explained why i got an animal that was missexed, missized, and had a terrible case of RI? I wish i had emails but i did the transaction over the phone. When i called to let them know about the RI all I got was "just let her settle in for a couple weeks" then after a couple weeks when "she" didnt improve I got well its been too long to return the animal. I ended up loosing over 13 hundred dollars with these clowns. I have told everyone that I know about the bad deal and wont ever think otherwise about Rj's exotics. they say it is bull, and that shows what kind of people they are. I am glad that their store closed and they are now in a hole in the wall garage.
 
I bought "1.1" leos at the Portland Maine show from them a few years ago, both females, better then 2 males, but not what I wanted. My friend bought "1.1" bps from them last year, they turned out to be both males. I will never do buisness with them again, they are horrible.

i just wanted this publically noted

i recently was involved in buying a sunglow from rjs exotics
he is having some financial difficulties and offered a sunglow boa for 900
so i jumped at the opportunity
we agreed to meet on fri no particular time
so i went down and met him there he headed back home to get the snake and i expressed my concern about the snake definately being a sunglow .
he assured me and went to get it
when he got back i looked it over and had some concern about it because it doesnt have the bowtie saddles and the saddles were faded anyway
he assured me again and i requested a guarantee in writing . He did and
i signed it and he signed it and we both got a copy .
well it turns out after posting pics the concensus is that it is not a sunglow boa and people recomended i get my money back.
I figured i would try to be fair and i e-mailed him asking for either a total refund or he give me three hundred dollars and i would keep it as an albino
so what does every one think

Good God I dont see why people keep doing business with this guy. I mean it seems that if your cost is low enough on something people will buy it no matter what your reputation is, hell all you need to do is do a little research and you will see you shouldnt buy from him. Its a shame that this has happened to all of you but in the case of the sunglow if you were meetimg him why would you have given him the cash if you had any doubts about the animal??? Just wondering

Don't like getting into this stuff, but IMO it is a normal albino, I own 5 albinos, and my friend has a bunch of sunglows, and there is no way those are sunglows in my opinion(by seeing mine compared to my friends up close). Good luck getting your money back.

I just read your posting about that boa from RJ's- when did you pick it up?

I **think** its the same one I was looking at, I actually bought 3 albinos from him over the last few weeks. One was my one eyed wonder Popeye, which I knew had the one eye. He was a cage mate to what I was told was a female and what I think is the one you have. He wanted $750 from me for that one, never said it was anything other than an albino to me. I also bought two others- I was told they are argentine albinos, maybe, maybe not- that I got from him. I paid $450 for the one eyed, and $900 each for the argentines. Check out the pics at www.freakyboas.com and let me know what you think. Drop me a line at [email protected] if you want to chat about them, i would love your input to them. Luckily, they seem healthy, though they did have mites when I got them.
I live in Manchester, work in Nashua, hence the reason I bought from him- local......
