In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Roaches we need no stinking Roaches!

Seriously there are many creepy crawly crittery things I will and have let into my home but I just can't do it. I've read this thread 4 or 5 times trying to convince myself but I barely handle mealies and super worms. I am such a girl!!!

If we meet up to trade, I'll give you a small group to try them out.

My gf is the same way be she knows we need food for the animals so she caved and we got some dubia . initially i was kinda weird ed out by them but they look more like beetles so they intrigued me now.

Dubia's are the best, I started with crickets but I now have 6 dragons so it's too much to feed them crickets as their main protein source. I was going through 3-4 thousand a week at one point . Even with the Dubia's though, I went through 1,000 like nothing. Your best bet (if you have more than 2 or 3 dragons) is to buy the Dubia and not feed off for 3 months or so. At that point your female Dubia should have had 3-4 clutches and your colony will be thriving. I know Dubia are gross and kind of expensive at first, but you will wind up spending wayyyyy more on crickets in the long run. Start a Dubia colony and your feeding worries will be over.

Check thefeederstore.com, great prices and great service!

lol I NEED stinking roaches!
I've never liked roaches, living in Florida, I've seen splenty, and always do my jeebies dance away from them. Buuuuuuuut Crickets are getting harder and harder to come by now, and the babies require food...so a roach colony it is!
They sound easier than caring for crickets even.

I'm barred from having roaches in the house, i have to keep them in our storage garage across the way....I'll probably sneak a keeper of them into my room, they won't be getting out..Noo one will ever knooow...
I wanna say I've had turks living in an old apartment we rented before...I hate small roaches....

It is highly unlikely that Turkistan (red racers) roaches would infest your home. Now lobster roaches can and will if they get loose but Turks I wouldnt worry too much.
Thank you Brian! People think I'm out of my flippin mind when I say Turks won't infest your home. If they didn't infest my last house they won't infest anything.

You use Turks? How do they work for you??

I loved em honestly. I can't see why those aren't the most commonly used feeder roach IMO. They breed fast, mine didn't fly even though people claim they can. My lizards love to chase them too because any insect thats slow other than a silkworm, they won't go after.

I have seen the light ,anybody please feel free to send me any complimentary roachs barring the exception of the NewYork and its cousin the Chicago also known as
AKA the ShyTown Roach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
