In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy RobbieHamper(elegantreptileimages)

Ashley, it is obvious that she is thriving under your care. She is looking great! If I wasn't so afraid I'd hurt one, I'd love a crestie, as they are so cute.

Frankly if I ever got into geckos I would be avoiding Robbie based solely on how she responded to Ashley. I have been in many opportunities where I have had to deal with upset customers, and that is not how you do it.

Somebody came in here and said that Robbie has never told a lie in her life, but then how do you explain the fertile eggs?

The fact that Robbie tried to insult Ashley by calling her an incompetent keeper, but then sold the animal to her ANYWAY means that either:

A) Robbie doesn't care about the welfare of her animals and will sell them to anyone; qualified or not.

or

B) Robbie is lying about thinking Ashley was unqualified and is just now saying these things in an attempt to discredit Ashley.

Sorry, I know this thread is basically resolved, it just really aggravated me.

- i Will Keep Updating Every Clutch,
- I Will Try to get a picture of the One surviving Egg which is super plump.
(The other ended Up Shriveling As it wasn't as calcified as the other)
- I try not to Handle the egg at all But I will Get a picture Today.

- Also, I have a question for other gecko Keepers.
- When I got Rye Before she laid, She wouldn't Fire up.
- After she had the clutch she was always red and fired almost constantly.
- in 2 days it'll be the 3 week mark since she had the
first clutch in my care, and now she doesnt fire up at all?

- Do Others notice this in gravid females?

Could we get a current picture of the eggs?

Rye's Egg on Superhatch, Labeled June 10th - I Bought her June 9th. So the 10th was my Guesstimation as it was between that and the 11th.

My Apologies, It does concern the seller Though, So I'll Just Have to Attach this Link to it.
Again, I Apologize.

If it is relevant to the transaction or seller, it can be posted here.
I don't really want to go through, post by post, explaining what should or should not be on the BOI. As far as posting a link to this thread in a discussion area - I recommend against it. Doing so encourages continuing the BOI there, which is unacceptable. BOI and discussion threads/topics are not interchangeable, and overlapping of the two is strongly discouraged.

I Understand completely, But i do Apologize. I (Unknowingly) Bought a Gravid Female from a Seller, and i have been posting all the evidence I Can On this thread since i started it, to Prove my Case since the seller Denied the fertile eggs and proclaimed she Only Sold Virgin females.

But the Posting of the Eggs is relevant to this thread, to Show that she is indeed laying fertile, and Not infertile.

Again, I Am very Sorry But thank you For explaining what is Acceptable/ is not. :)

This thread reminds me of the stone temple pilots song"dead and bloated".

I took the liberty of emailing the seller to see if she has any intentions of doing damage control.

That's a Good Song but I don't see how it links to the Thread.
All I truly want out of this is an apology.
That's it, No compensation.
As i've stated countless Times as this point.

So to wrap this up, My 'Virgin' Gecko just had her 2nd clutch in my care,
one dud, one fertile - Same as the first.
The first egg is about 38-39 days into incubation.
the seller has still never responded, I now see this as a dead issue but wanted to Update on the fact that she is, infact not a virgin and now down to 29g from almost 36g

Rye weighed in july 5th,
http://tinypic.com/r/2eeezj5/6
she stayed around this weight Until today, where as she dropped to 31g out of nowhere.
so i checked her laybox, whole enclosure and found nothing.

then later tonight she stayed in her laybox for hours, so i patiently waited.
a few hours later, checked her laybox and waa-laa.

Now the Fertile egg:

After i added the date:
http://tinypic.com/r/199jrp/6

First fertile from last month, and the one she just laid:

And Rye's Weight now:
http://tinypic.com/r/zxpsas/6

So that ends this story.. until they hatch.
:) have a good night all!

At 59 days of incubation Ryes first egg in my care began sweating. (incubated a 73-75)
at 62 days, there were multiple leaks on the egg, which i tried patching with papertowel.
at 63 days, the egg had shrank severly and the shell was entirely soft, from being so poorly calcified, the more it leaked the smaller it got.
on day 63, I decided to Cut the egg for these reasons.
I have Another fertile viable egg by Rye, Much more calcified but i do not have high hopes.

this is what was inside my "virgin" geckos egg.
It is Graphic :
6

I'd also like to note, the hatchling was lifeless. No Reaction to touch, no heartbeat.
In the picture you can see the soggyness of the egg from leaking.
Even if parthenogenesis were proven in Crested geckos at this point, I would not believe this is the case, as she's nearing another lay date, and she laid the second more viable egg in july.
