In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased an albino female bp from Robert Collett for $200 in April 2017. It was to be shipped after Mothers Day.

It is July 5 th and Robert had ceased to reply to texts, messages, and phone calls.

I asked for either a reimbursement or to send the bp.

He also has a property maintenance business.

Could you post any texts or emails in regards to this transaction? has he been notified of this thread?

Jill did you pay with a credit card or Paypal and if so have you initiated a claim or chargeback? Can you please post the emails between you showing the transaction?

There is a member here whose username is legacy.collett, is that him?

Has he been active online since the purchase date? Posting, doing business, etc? Might want to reach out to other customers if he's been active and selling snakes.

Purchase resolved!

Within half an hour of notifying Robert Collett of the post to Fauna Classifieds BOI board, Robert contacted me. He brought the snake to the FedEx shop and it was shipped yesterday. It arrived at my house about 45 minutes ago, safe, sound, and clean.

I am happy to say that this purchase situation has been resolved. Thank you BOI and Fauna Classifieds and for everyone who got on this. I appreciate it.

I'm making a donation to this site :)

I am so happy the issue is resolved, and that you received your snake. The BOI works. :)
I do feel that if the seller is planning on future sales, that an explanation of the delay by him would be a good idea. Good communication and prompt shipping is a pretty basic part of good customer service.

I agree with Lucille. He should come here and explain the delay/communication issues.

I also agree, but if he does, let's not jump all over him - he made it right quickly. It's nice to see a fast resolution, and also good to see the BOI working as intended.

Kudos to both parties.

It's not a matter of jumping, knowing the reason for the delay and lack of communication will help the next prospective customer.
There may be a perfectly adequate reason why he did not communicate in what looks like two months.
However, if there is no good explanation, prospective customers will want to decide how heavily to weight Jill's experience and may wonder whether they too will have to start a thread to get their purchase.
Hopefully, he will come here and clarify why this happened.

I agree Lucille, and my comment wasn't directed at you, just some of our more regular hot heads - it would be great if Robert could come on here and explain what happened without becoming a target. I'm sure that quite a few people simply never make comments for fear of that.

I'm glad it was sorted out, and I agree it would have been better if it had not come to needing a BOI thread. Robert - I do suggest you make a simple post explaining what happened, to reassure future buyers.

Helen you are so wise, but I have to defend some of the regulars because the questions they ask serve to protect our community. And mostly they are pretty courteous.

He may have a good reason, but I am suspicious as he finally got in touch with the OP only after this thread. Suspicious, but not so much so that I am unreasonable.

I would wager that many folks don't comment for fear of having to assume responsibility and answer for their screw-ups. The ratio of people with reasonable explanations for taking months to resolve transactions versus those who are just shady is probably massively in favor of the latter.
