In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Robert Frank (Lawson's partner in crime) FINALLY CAUGHT!

CAREER

I don't know that another one has bitten the dust... these are career criminals. Once back on the street, they will be doing it all over again.

John.... you got me curious, so I just called the Tampa Sheriff's Department (The State Fairgrounds is in their jurisdiction) for the information you asked about.... They told me that Robert Frank AND his girlfriend were BOTH ARRESTED at their home and then released on bond.... when I asked them if there was a trial scheduled, they told me I'd have to take that up with the State's Attorney's Office (which I haven't).... so, I guess the system is working the way it should!.... YAY!!

Neil

phone number

neil
why dont you see if you can get his home phone--then you can put it up here-then everyone can call him up and let them know what they think of him--especially the people in cali at say 10 pm or so-Ben

So now what,

if their is sufficient evidence to warrent a grand jury, people will have to go to Tampa to testify, if not, they will still have to testify at trial. Thats one of the problems that seem to run in the defendants favour. As much as we would love to see these roaches incarcerated, it may just end up with a slap on the wrist. Lets hope otherwise, but we shall see.

Almost have it....phone number and all

Okay, I just need a bit of info and I can post it......

Here's what I need.....

Cities in close proximity to the Tampa area....here's the list

Hallandale Beach
Hialeah
Oakland Park
Pampano Beach
Coconut Creek
Weston
Pembroke
Miami (probably not)
Ft. Lauderdale
Tallahassee
Apopka
Daytona Beach
Ocala
Titusville
Wildewood
Bew Port Richey
Dunedin
ST. Pete (could be)
Spring Hill
Bradenton
Englewood
Hudson
Boca Raton
Delray Beach
Palm Beach Gardens
Pomona Park
Elkton (actually listed as a Robert J.)
Boca Grande
Ft. Meyers
Ft. Meyers Beach
Punta Gorda
Gainesville
Panama City
Pensecola

Once I have a list of probables, I can begin by eliminating acording to specific addresses to eliminate repeats where the middle initial is obviously wrong.

BTW, this is a public directory search available on the internet for free. So, no information supplied here has been, or will be, gained through improper channels. Anyone who wishes to know how I did it can contact me by e-mail if you don't have it figured out already.

David.... when I found my animals in his house.... it was in Brandon.... I have no clue if he's still in that town, or not.... you could try, though??....

Neil

The most recent arrest record, which is a year and a half old, lists his address as being in Lutz. That being said, I'm wondering if there might be some sort of delay in HCSO posting the laltest record. If you'll note, the records list the arrestee's home of record, as well as identifying his employer.

May have it...

I've narrowed it down to 3 in the Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg area. 2 of the 3 live in St. Pete and maps indicate that their homes are basically waterfront properties with canals to them. May have Neil contact me privately (or anyone else with better knowledge of addresses and such) and see if we can narrow this one down. The last address is in Dunedin and I'd personally suspect this one first.

That said, I think, with 3 possibles (even though from this far away only one seems probable) that a bit more checking needs done before we post everything. On a worse note, perhaps he lives with the girlfriend or at least has the phone service in her name. Can run a search that direction as well, but will need the info.

David

oh yeah I think I just want to let everyone know that the guy that was hanging onto the hood of the Truck is a good Friend of my Greg Hanks from G and G Rodents. His a bit crazy......have to give him some credit for jumping on the hood of that Truck:eek:)

Still no record

As of 10 a.m. in Tampa, there is no online record of his arrest being posted online. Makes me wonder just what is going on. I'd hate to see something this open/shut tossed out as it appears that this individual needs to be served up on a platter. Perhaps it's time for somebody down there to place a call or 2 and see if slimeball and his girl are actually sitting in jail or out wandering the streets waiting to do it again.

David.... remember something.... that website is for Hillsborough County ONLY.... if he lives outside of that County now, it might be on another site that I don't know about, or doesn't exist (some Counties don't have a website).... the best person to find out about these things would probably be Ben.... he's the one that actually had his animals stolen and he might be able to get the information because it's his case....

Neil

Neil,
I was just looking for where the "crime" took place figuring that they would have jurisdiction and if picked up in a neighboring county they would have already been transported.

I understand the possibility and am certainly not familiar with county lines down your way or how they affect jurisdiction in the area.

Ben,

If you still want info such as telephone number and address, then just shout as I can pull it back up in a matter of minutes. Would just need somebody down that way to confirm the likely address based on previous addresses and the 3 present ones in the area. I'm sure we can get him tracked to an exact location by the end of the day. Wouldn't it be nice, even if he's currently sitting in a cell and manages to bond out, for him to come home (first day or days in a row) to a mailbox full of "thank you scumbag" letters? Just say the word and have somebody take a look at the probables for a quick, annonymous call to confirm the person.

I hope Tony's able to get them on all the charges. IT makes me sick to look around all the booths at the shows, and see how much the vendors have to do for security, just because a few people have to resort to thievery.

Tony had me taking tickets, so mroe than likely, I let the guy in.
Not that should have know NOT to, but I still get pissed about it...

Maybe there would be a a way to improve security, and to insure that people leaving are leaving with animals PURCHASED, not stolen.

I'm probably going to be helping Tony set up for the Raleigh show, and organise some things the month prior. MAybe we can figure something out.

What if Every vendor is given stickers for their animals/goods. When sold, one of these stickers is placed on the container hoding the animal, or the pckage of the item.

something highly visible, like a chartruse, or floreascent sticker. Cheap, but clearly visible.

This would require more security at the exits. Right now, Tony has someone watching the exit, stamping hands.

I wonder how feaseble it would be for the person to check items for a sticker, to make sure they were paid for.

Wal mart does the same thing, as do many stores.

I would think something like this would make it more difficult for someone to steal, especially if people taking tickets(as I was) would not allow people to bring duffle bags, or back packs in with them.

Tony usually keeps the number of exits down to one. I think something simple like this could cut down on shrink.

E

Eric.... I think that's a great idea about the stickers....

Just like Ballparks and the like, Tony should NOT allow entry to anyone with backpacks or large purses.... they should be made to leave them in their vehicles....

As far as table security.... it always amazes me how many dealers have stacks of small deli cups on their tables with NOTHING to keep people from taking them.... a simple fishnet with a one inch mesh would do the trick very nicely.... you can easily see what's underneath, but nobody can take anything off the table (by mistake).... there are some dealers that do this already (like LLL), their display was very easily seen and well protected by that meshing.... without it, you're just asking for trouble....

I will be speaking to Tony in the next couple of days, and I will bring up these points to him, especially your idea of bright stickers, Erik.... that is a very good idea.... anything we can do (as a group) to stop the theft of people's animals, is all worth it!!

Neil

IMO, the sticker idea wouldn't be feasible, and here's why...

Each deli cup would have to be stickered, right? This past show, I had 32 deli cups and two snake bags inside of a large shopping bag (from the Bells). This means that there would have to be somebody at the door searching bags as people exit. Unless that person is a sworn LEO, acting on probable cause, I won't let them search. It's not that I have something to hide- it's a matter of not caring to be subjected to an illegal search.

Even at Sam's Club, etc, I've been known to walk right past the person at the door checking receipts and peering into carts as if every customer is a petty thief. Only if I'm feeling especially cooperative and generous with my time, will I stop for them.

Not allowing backpacks or large purses brings up another possible dilemma... that of potential liabilities. Parking at the Tampa show isn't exactly what I'd call "secure." Having folks leave such items in their cars is all but an open invitation for smash & grab thefts. After all, the potential thief is guaranteed an ample amount of time to scout vehicles and work undisturbed while the victim is inside.

Also on the subject of backpaks, what about the folks who chose a motorcycle as their means of transportation, or even the ol' "shoe leather express." Are they to be denied entry, or forced to leave their backpack/purse sitting on the curb where it can easily disappear?

What would be the next step... denying entry to those with baggy clothes/pants with cargo pockets? Or should people be patted down as they leave?

The point I'm trying to make here, is that the answer isn't to treat attendees like they're all potential criminals. Rather, I feel that the answer lies in increased diligence by vendors. In short, know your enemy and stay one step ahead of the shoplifters amongst us.

I think being provided with

a receipt may also make a difference. Insofar as being stopped before exiting a place , the security only ask for the receipt to see if it matches up with the # of items purchased. I dont think their is anything illegal about it neither does Sams club, Costco, Walmarts, and many other operations. Had their been a problem, it would have been stopped along time ago.

Also , and I am only guessing here, but until the perpetrator leaves the premise with the item he stole, it becomes difficult to prosecute. Most store detectives wait until you have left the building before apprehending you.

Anyway, the netting is a good idea, and having an extra set of eyes always help.
