Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Ladies and Gents,
I know that this is a little late and might be a long shot but I wanted to at least bring it to everyone's attention. I don't even know if Robert Kite is still in the snake business or not. I have been trying to get a hold of him for the past year. I'm the type of person that tries to see the good in everyone. I bought this albino female from Robert Kite in June of 2011. I finished making payment on July 31st, 2011. I had recently returned from my deployment in Afghanistan. I had arranged with Bob Kite to meet him in Iowa over my block leave which started late July of 2011. Well, either he wasn't available or I wasn't and we never met up. I stayed in constant communication with him and was told that he was going to be out in my area in Oct of 2011 and that he would try to meet up with me for drop off. He unfortunately didn't make and I contacted him to see if he wanted to just ship the snake to me or refund my money. He said that he was going to send me a postal money order for the amount of the purchase price and that I should see it in the mail. He also stated that he wasn't going to be able to be in contact for a month or so. Since then, I have sent numerous PM's, emails, and facebook PM's. I have tried calling the numbers he has listed on his facebook page with no luck getting in contact with him. I have done everything short of driving up there and searching for him in his home town. What I am looking for is any information on him, if anyone has heard from him lately, etc. I posted this in the BOI because I think people should know that Bob Kite isn't as good of a guy as he has portrayed himself to be and he has really screwed me over. Please let me know if this is not the right forum to be posting in and I will take my post elsewhere.

hey charlene,i actually emailed bob about 2 months ago with no luck of a response either.it doesnt sound like bob,he was a good member here.i hope you get it solved
 
I know that it doesn't sound like Bob, and I really didn't want it to come to this. But I need so resolution of some sort. I thought he was a real good guy and that's why I did business with him.
 
Hey everybody. We did business with him last fall (ish) with no issues, seemed like a nice guy. He's on my facebook...and he has posts as recent as Tuesday...so??? I hope you guys find a way to make things straight. Good luck! And let me know if you need anything.

Do you know how I can get in touch with him? It seems that the Robert Kite you have as your friend might not be the one I have. Maybe he made a more recent facebook account???
 
I have tried all numbers listed. One was disconnected and the other one Kimberly picked up but didn't really sound too sure as to who Bob was. Once I said that he dealt with Ball Pythons, she started getting weird. So I don't know what to do from here. I called paypal but because it is WAY past 45 days and paypal doesn't have buyers protection on animal purchases, there wasn't really anything that could be done. He opened a claim for me but he said all that would do is alert the seller that the claim had been opened. So...I'm running outta ideas.

Anyone have any other options or ideas?
 
You might be able to file a claim with your credit card company. Explain what happened, if you were deployed while making payments they may take the time lapse into consideration.
 
I'm just bumping this thread- hoping someone will come forward with a way to get in touch with Mr. Kite for you. In my experience years ago, he had a business partner under the name Odyssey Reptiles if anyone knows if that is still applicable. It looks like he was selling out of his entire collection during 2011 according to his ads though. I hope you are able to get your snake or your money back soon. Best of luck!

We purchased a 100% het clown female from Bob Kite of Odyssey Reptiles in October 2011. The transaction was handled through Jen Kite. We paid $400 and were guaranteed paperwork on the genetics. After numerous emails and pm's, I gave up on the paperwork. He replied that he had it would drop it in the mail but never did. Here's the info I have from his business card. Ive gotten a few personal emails regarding Robert Kite but no solid leads. I have heard that he frequents the Tinley Show in Chicago as recently as last year. I don't know if anyone is going but maybe at least keep your eyes out. I don't expect to get closure to my deal with him but would like for everyone to be aware. I'm not the only one out there that has had bad experiences with him. And I'm sure I won't be the last if he is still in the business.
