I had pointed out earlier in the thread that Robert Nichols clearly was violating CA law, and that if enough police reports accumulated, that we could and would pursue law-enforcement action. But I also noted that those who pay the bills here Robert lives might not approve what he is doing under their roof. Noting that the phone was not in his name, etc. Which Rob denies, although I have looked up all on-line

Regardless, a picture speaks a thousand words. This is the call of a few days ago, linked earlier, where Rob said that he would sue me. It is also the number that he called from with his pathetic and obscene harassing calls earlier.

I wanted to post what seems endless proof that Robert is a liar. I also wanted him to know that I was well aware that he is living in a house that is not his, using phones not in his name, etc., and that those who do pay the bills there may not like that Rob is being such a miscreant with such. I happen to know whose house it is, who lives there, etc.

This thread is about Chameleons Gone Wild (CGW) too. And what I claim is their lack of ethics, corruption, and deviant conduct within the hobby. Much of that was displayed early in the thread. It was a train wreck, and therefor entertaining.

First, a recap of persona involved with the private FB forum CGW:

Robert C Rose (RCR): Admin and founder. Owner of Empire Chameleons, sometimes also Empire State Chameleons, out of NY state.

Chrissy Lynn (CL): Admin. RCR's GF when last known.

Robert Nichols (RN): Fill in moderator at CGW. The only entity known to have had such authority besides RCR and CL prior to this thread. Rob is a small-time breeder of chameleons, but no business name that I know of.

Shauna Garcia (SG): Newly appointed Admin/spokesperson for CGW. Owner of Tree Candy Chameleons, out of PA.

Only Robert Nichols and Shauna Garcia have posted in this thread. RCR is a Fauna member, and has been reading here often, but is yet to comment here.

Why would three sets of entities, all of whom breed and sell limited numbers of panther chameleons, have in common so as to maintain a private forum on FB where its only distinction from any other minor forum is that it openly bashes other larger, well established breeders? Without any restrictions or decency of process, under cover of privacy and membership and content that they control ? That's a tough one to figure out, eh !!!!

Shauna has told us that they are making adjustments there, in CGW, so as to clean things up. We have no evidence of that otherwise. None. We have been patient, and even provided RCR with evidence of malfeasance by members prior to posting such here. Crickets from him on that.

We started this thread to hold them accountable, and establish a record for all to see of their malfeasance. We are not yet finished with that task. I have a lot to keep me busy this weekend, but all things will be made apparent, with evidence, in due time.

I thank all who have assisted me with info, screen shots, etc. We are going to see this through.

The people who started it are members of 15-20 different groups, CGW did not "create" them and we are not the reason you were visited by Fish and Wildlife.

The group has grown to 1300 members in one year. I was added as admin, that's a change that can be measured. The conversation there has been much calmer than it is here. There is no drama anywhere on FB close to this. Yes, people will say things sometimes that not everyone agrees with. You are bashing CGW for some of its members speaking out against you, yet it's ok for you to do the same here, for days on end?

First, your issue was allowing him to participate in discussions about you and about his language, then later you said we actually used him as an attack dog.

Jim, your issue with RN is not ours. He has barely been active on FB, to my knowledge. If you think our group is inappropriate in some way, report it to FB, they own the group and will shut us down if they see us doing something wrong.

People can be the judge of whether or not CGW is an evil place.

For you to call out my name and lmy business in this thread is just dirty business, as I was not even involved in the discussion about your escaped animals, other than on Central, and I stopped after you said that girls can be part of circle jerks too, which was completely uncalled for.

I have nothing else to say, as I feel bad for the other people who's BOI's aren't getting the attention they deserve because this one stays at the top. There are bigger issues in the world, and I'm not allowing this one to consume me.

By your own words, Robert Nichols was a member of a forum with 250 members when he was made a Moderator. That was not a coin toss. So tell us all how that decision was made.

I'm not sure, but I'll see if I can find an answer for you. I know that the group was very new, and we didn't know each other very well at that time, so I didn't know Rose well enough for him to have asked me. This group has grown very fast, and we are working through the growing pains. I have no idea how to run a FB group, as I have never done so, but I'm going to try to do my best to help find a balance between being a place to speak freely, yet not cross the that thin line. I don't want people mad at each other all the time, Jim, but at the same time, I don't want people to be afraid to express themselves authentically.

We are not a bad group. You know chameleon people are passionate, that's what makes us good at what we do. Passionate people encounter conflict. Intelligent people find a way to agree to disagree without tearing each other down. There's no reason for you or CGW to have to seek revenge. What's done is done and I feel like it would be best for all of us to just move on. The only evidence I can show you of any value is to let time tell because in all honesty, I can give you all kinds of evidence, but what happens in the future is all that really matters, no?

2) You have no clue about the First Amendment. To claim such for your forum, which is closed, not transparent, not open to the public, able to delete at will, etc., is absurd. Perhaps a Mod here can enlighten, but my take on the BOI is more about the 6th Amendment. And it is most transparent. Your forum is a joke when it comes to true freedoms.

If you were aware of the differences between open and closed groups, you'd know that in an open group, every single comment you make comes across the newsfeed of all of your Facebook friends. That means your mother, your children, and your employer can read every word you say and what someone says about you. I, for one, don't need my children to see the negativity that sometimes comes along with this business. I have had to discontinue a lot of discussion on Central because co-workers have mentioned the chameleon drama. That's why CGW is closed and will remain so. If anyone wants to see what's going on, all they have to do is join, it's free! It's not any different than people having to register on Fauna to view photos or join discussions.
