Maybe I'm misunderstanding who exactly did what....but a quick call to the Sedgwick County Animal Control office got some questions answered easily enough.

1. They don't euthanize any animals, much less immediately upon seizure. Animals get sent to the proper holding authorities until owners can claim them or court cases can be resolved.

2. They do not turn any animals over to private citizens.

3. And there is no Kyle Huffman listed on their resource page as a contact for people to turn to for help with reptiles in need of care.



Reading through this thread is just asking for a headache. Each involved party sounds at least mildly shady...some more than others. No one gives proof of anything...just long rambling disjointed stories that blame everyone else for everything that's gone wrong.

So many erroneous claims with no proof in this thread make it not only hard to follow but nauseating. With all the deflection, the less than skillful attempt to ignore all pertinent questions and the numerous requests to post anything that resembles proof.

I hope, but am highly doubtful that we will be rewarded with a response in the proximity of proof. Something that will explain why your inquiry with the Sedgwick County Animal Control office differs immensely than what has been exhaustingly posted over and over again. I won't hold my breath but the reply should at the very least be entertaining.

I am back for a moment. Can't hardly take care of funeral arrangements without the world exploding. There are so many pages that have been created since my last post. I am not sure where huffman is coming up with some of that stuff. There is only so much information that I can provide without jeopardizing the investigation. I am looking for an attorney and the police can not give out legal advice. The main thing that I can say is there is more to the story that I will be able to provide when there is not pending litigation. There obviously isn't anywhere to look up if someone is going to be charged, only when they are charged.

I am not sure how someone can say that I am being shady. Has anyone else gone through something like this that is reading this thread? I hope that I will have a big update as early as next week to provide to "prove" that I am credible for my statements.

It's nice that huffman is trying to hold over my head some imaginative information about the ringhoff case. I would think that a person would provide information about a crime because it is the right thing to do. He has nothing and if he did, I wouldn't barter for it.

I do not have any animals that are sick to my knowledge. The snake that huffman is talking about being sick has never been sick. He picked out a random snake and put it by itself and said it is sick. Out of all of my normal looking snakes that he stole, he picked out my male het axanthic to be sick. I am still monitoring my snakes to see if anything develops. I wish I had all of them back and the normals and hets were not all mixed up. Out of all of the normal lookers, I only had 3 that were males and each was a different size and/or characteristic. I wish it was that easy to pick out my het hypos, axanthics, or others.

As far as where my snakes go, how is it of any concern of the huffman's to where they go? Obviously huffman is not licensed and is not a vet. He probably has never taken a reptile to a vet nor probably even talked to one about reptiles. I know he wanted to sell these and he has sold several. He is angry that I received MY snakes back? Incredible.

I am still waiting on the police report that he supposedly has purchased for $10. Police reports are available for free at city hall. It has been 4 days since huffman said he was going to post it tomorrow. Where is it? He must still be typing it up? Again, the 'media release' report that can be acquired does not give out specific information like huffman is trying to say. The police would release suspects names when they want to.

I will have to read the rest of the prior pages when I have more time and will reply if there is anything worth commenting on. I hope this process continues to move forward and will have more information to provide soon. I see that others are asking when huffman will answer questions. Maybe he needs more time to create an answer.

I didn't say you were being shady, I said it sounded shady. I do believe innocent people can get caught up in a storm of shadiness that is not their fault...but if that happens, then precise and crystal-clear communication is critical for the innocent person. Stories with confusing timelines and threads that don't seem to connect (to an outside reader trying to fit all the offered pieces together) and proof that is claimed but never shown....just doesn't help anyone look better.

I sincerely hope you ARE able to offer up real proof that all you've said is true. Just don't take it too personally if strangers reading your words here have trouble making heads-or-tails of any of it and therefore are reluctant to give much weight of credibility to either side.

above is the attatched link to see your police report jason where your snakes were taken from you by animal control this is the actual police report and as you can see my name is not even on it it shows animal control took your snakes and as big of an ass as you have been even after i said i would help you if you settled your differences with me id help you in your possible suit against animal control and ringhoff you think that the more you try to hurt my name and say bs about me that i would still help you?? I don't get what this report is supposed to be proving? You were saying that Jason Williams was being charged with something? He's listed on this "report" as a victim???

It also says 127 snakes were taken...not 117 or 113 or whatever the other numbers claimed might have been. What happened to the other ten (fourteen?) snakes who's lives you supposedly didn't save??

It doesn't give any indication about WHY the snakes were taken...or tells anything about dead animals...sick animals...or in any other way back up your claims.

On the one hand, you say the man had dead and sick animals....then on the other hand, you say you only want to "help" him because he's the victim here. Which is it?

I may think I see some shadows in Jason's overall story....but yours is so far nothing but major smoke and mirrors.
