    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

hey guys .. i recently got a hold of a 6-7 foot rock python .. and im pretty sure its wild caught ! but i cant get him to eat.. any suggestions would be apreciated :)

How recently did you acquire the rock (assuming you are referring to African rock?)? Why do you think it is wild caught? How are you keeping it (caging, substrate, heating, temperatures, handling practices)? What have you offered it (type of prey, live, p/k, f/t, etc)? Afrocks will always hold a special place in my world, even though I am no longer keeping them. They can be a bit of a handful at first, but are well worth the effort (and yes - most, if not all, of the ones I have worked with were imports)

well i got him maybe a week ago!!

i have aspen as substrate and the temp. at day is around 85 and at night falls down to almost 70 !

i tried feeding live and p/k and he just snaps at the prey and leaves it..

Since most of my questions went unanswered, all I can do is address the information you have given: Afrocks (still assuming, since you haven't confirmed this) are incredibly tolerant of cool temps, but a 70` nighttime temp is a bit more of a drop than I would recommend unless you are cycling for breeding. You might want to try increasing the overnite temps a bit.
Other than that, you have had what you suspect to be a WC snake for about a week. Honestly, that isn't even enough time to become acclimated to his new environment, even if you haven't messed with him at all. Leave him alone for a couple weeks, and try offering a p/k prey item at lights out...leaving it in with him if he doesn't take it immediately (don't stress him by trying to coax him to take it)

okay ill let him settle down in his new home for a week and try feeding after a week.. and ill change the temp. to what you suggested and get back to you, thanks !
