    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I will be building a rodent rack tomorrow and I am not that good with wood work. I will be getting the wood cut at Home Depot. I have a question for you professional rack builders, what measurements do i need to get the wood cut for the screen tops that sit above the tubs, and the rails that the tub will slide on.

The tubs I am using measurements are length 18-7/8" x 13 3/4" x 7 7/8". For the length and width I am not sure the length to get the wood cut. I think I will be using 1x2"s or 1x1"s for the frame( or whatever you guys suggest). Below is a picture of the tub I am using. Thanks for any help

I would recommend 2x2s for the frame, more support is a good thing. I would add half an inch to the width and an inch to the length for the size. Gives you a little room to work with but not enough to let rodents out.
Will this be the only tub you are using? If so, a rack isn't necessary. I would just build a screen top that fits over the tub. Otherwise the height of the rack will depend on how many levels you want and how much room you want between levels.
