    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This was the first one my boyfriend built. We are still using it for mice and separating nursing rats from general population. It works great, just a few small kinks we worked out.

Now that we are up to 15 snakes, and have 6 adults, we need to step up our game to more rats, less mice....bigger rack. He is adding a self watering system, just waiting for the nipple order to arrive.

The only change we would do with this one, when we build the next one, we will space the pans closer. But I love it!!! So nice to have a man who has such a talent :D And he did it all without any plans. We went to a local ball python breeder's house and he had one there, my BF looked it over, and built it almost exactly like his (save the spacing is larger).

Which tubs are you talking about?

The blue/pink tubs have no chewing on them at all. I have housed rats, mice and soft furred in them. I do give them some chew sticks as well as treats. I spoil my snake food. So perhaps that keeps them from bothering with it.

The black mixing tubs, we just finished it and the rats and soft furred are in them. I have not noticed any chewing but they have only been there a week. We got the idea for this rack from a local breeder and he has been using the same tubs for over a year.

nice builds! I really need a nursing mom rack. I built the same rack with the concrete tubs and the only time the rats ever chewed through was when I accidentaly dented the tub. Won't ever do that again!

lol, No, its not like that. Up until last week, I was helping clean all the tanks, cages, bins, and litterboxes in the house. When we found out I was preggers, he told me he didn't want me cleaning them anymore. So its not a "woman" thing, its my man protecting his first child from any bacteria exposure that isn't necessary :)
